I very rarely leave one-star reviews
I very rarely leave one-star reviews, particularly for small businesses, but this trip was genuinely one of the most disorganized tour experiences I’ve had. The Muskoka tour was supposed to depart at 7:45 a.m. We did not actually leave until around 8:45 a.m., putting the entire day behind schedule from the start. From there, communication about departure and regrouping times was consistently unclear. At one of the stops, which was specifically identified in the itinerary as the lunch stop, my friend and I went to find somewhere to eat. We were not given a clear regrouping time. The organizers then waited roughly 20 minutes after they were apparently ready to leave before contacting us, and afterward made public announcements about passengers needing to be “mindful” and “considerate” of everyone else’s time. That was particularly frustrating given that the tour itself had already started an hour late and the communication about timing had been poor. The itinerary advertised six stops, but we only meaningfully visited about three of them. By the time we reached the final locations, it was around 8 p.m. and completely dark, so there was little point in visiting scenic destinations at that stage. Food arrangements were equally poorly handled. Later in the day, several passengers asked to be taken somewhere we could sit down and have a proper meal. We were instead taken to a location with a Tim Hortons. My friend and I ended up finding a Subway nearby ourselves so we could actually eat something substantial. We finally returned to the drop-off point at approximately 10:42 p.m. For approximately $130, I expected basic organization, clear communication, a realistic itinerary and professional handling of delays. Instead, the day felt rushed, poorly coordinated and unnecessarily stressful. The locations themselves were beautiful, and I did get some nice photographs, but that was despite the tour organization, not because of it. I would not book with Tour Beez again, and based on this experience I cannot recommend them.
