Absolutely awful customer service. We used the service for 3-4 years on a pay-as-you-go plan and didn't have to deal with CS until we moved and the coverage wasn't good enough. After a month of attempts to transfer our old numbers I gave up. They are completely useless, not located in this country, and hung up on me multiple times after being on hold forever. So frustrating. I would not go back to them even for the low rates after this experience. Not worth the hassle.

I'd give them ZERO stars, if it were an option. They're refusing to send code to T-Mobile to switch my existing TW number to a different carrier. Spent 2 hours in the store this morning, they claimed they'd sent it 4 times, I was there and witnessed they never sent it. The T-Mobile rep even gave them his email, and they said they'd send it there as well, liars. Still trying to get it. If you're considering TW, DON'T!

This is my second review for Total Wireless. I submitted a review to them for an I phone 13mini I bought from them. Gave them a 1 star for customer service. Below their reply. I had called Total Wireless seven times trying to activate my new phone and add it to a two line plan that was already activated. Every single time, after I had already given my information, I was transferred to someone else that I had to re-explain everything to and eventually couldn't do anything to help me besides bounce me between the website and my original carrier. Three of those times, between the transfer from the first person to the second person, I was disconnected. After some difficulty, we realized I needed to log in to my roommate's account to add/activate my phone because you can't have separate accounts with a two line plan. There, I mistyped my original carrier's account number and it wouldn't let me change it but once I deleted the new device from the plan to restart, I couldn't re-add it because suddenly the number wouldn't transfer over and they couldn't find it in their system. The website/app also wouldn't let me buy a new single line plan OR just get a new phone number, either option led me to an error that said to call customer service. Thankfully I can return the phone but still $30+ down the drain with a service plan I can't use and a sim card transfer that I didn't need.

Total wireless does not have a fraud department. Someone in Florida hacked into my total wireless account and deactivated my 2 phone lines and activated their 2 phone lines. When this occurred, I was not emailed or texted an alert and both my phones were disconnected from the service I paid for. They did not do any verification of my identity and have no idea what they are doing to protect their customers. I called them once I found out and advised them of the issue and asked to speak to their fraud department. Guess what, this total garbage of a company owned by tracfone actually does not have a fraud department. I went ahead and followed their instructions to secure my account and change my email and password to reactivate my phones. Then in 24 hours it happened again and the hacker did the same thing again. Even though I warned total wireless of this, they can care less. This time it resulted in the hacker accessing and transferring money from my bank account. I called the bank and file a fraud case to request my money back. I also filed a police report. I called total wireless and cancelled my account and am porting my numbers over to a proper reputable company with an actual fraud department who won't just let anyone hack into my account and transfer my phone lines to another phone with a new sim without verifying who I am or getting my permission. I want to get an apology and a refund. AVOID total wireless and tracfone as they can care less about their clients and don't even have a fraud department to help you if anything ever goes wrong. UPDATE 2 days later and Continued saga with this horrible company. The hacker was able to get back into my account today after I deactivated and while I was awaiting my numbers to port over and use stolen credit card to reactivate my account with total wireless so he can continue to use it and hack into my other accounts. I spent 2 hours on the phone with total wireless securing my account and then I was finally able to get my numbers ported to another mobile carrier that actually has a fraud department and listens to their clients. This is day 3 of this disaster and after multiple reports that I made to total wireless that my account is actively being hijacked by a hacker. STAY far away from total wireless unless you want your bank accounts and other accounts hacked because total wireless can care less about securing your account when fraud is committed.

The worst phone company they should be out of business they have the worst customer service they refused to transfer my phone to AT&T they Kept saying that zip code on the account doesn’t match.. my online profile account has the correct address but they had me living in Miami when I actually live in orlando. They will give you a hard time when you want to transfer your number to another carrier do not sign with this scamming company.🤬

Only giving 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. Phone service has grown worse and worse to the point that I cannot use my phone without Wi-Fi. I have called repeatedly and even purchased new phone but the problem remains. And now I know they are just scammers because every time I call they tell me I’m out of data, even when I have just refilled my service a day before. The workers don’t know anything and are extremely difficult to understand, and they all make things up as they go and tell me completely different things. I really don’t know how this company has not been shut down, it’s just a giant scam. I am fully convinced they tamper with your data and service so that when you call they can convince you to buy more data. I am leaving this company and will never use them again and I recommend anyone considering them don’t put yourself through all the BS. I think this company is based in Mexico so the service in the US is garbage.
