Total Wireless is terrible I'm part of the ACP program and the last 4 months they shut my phone off not applied my ACP benefits I've called numerous times and get told something different every single time they have no clue they're ridiculous they're worthless they should not even be in business. Not to mention being on hold for along time and then get hung up on. NOT TO MENTION THE LANGUAGE BARRIER

I'm enrolled in the ACP program and…
I'm enrolled in the ACP program and should not run out of cell service. Have ran out twice. Can't get anyone on the phone. Tried the chat option and that was ridiculous. Now somehow my phone number is registered to an iphone 11. My phone is Motorola. I didn't have any problems unt they switched themselves to Total by Verizon. Guess I need a new phone company.

Totally clueless by Verizon is what…
Totally clueless by Verizon is what they should be called. Every chat agent or phone rep. will tell you something different. My favorite is "I don't have access to that information, I can request the proper department give you a call" I like to sit around and wait for someone to call me at the their convenience not mine!

Total Verizon, Customer Service.
We tried to replace my daughters phone after her screen broke. We have done this several times in the past and knew the process well. Initially things were going well. The automated phone system told me that they were experiencing higher then normal call volumes and I could go to the website for quicker service. I held the line and was immediately connected to an agent. We spent about 45minutes getting the new phone ready, but when it was time to activate the new phone I was told that it could not be activated. I asked why, and they said that they didn't have a "record" of that phone. I assumed it had something to do with IMEI #, so I double checked it with an online checker. Everything looked good. I was then told that there was nothing else they could do for me and I should buy a phone through them. At this point I thought no problem, Maybe there was a problem with the phone. I said I'd think about it Since my daughters old phone was still working (it had a severely cracked but was fully functional) there was no need to rush into a overpriced phone. That night everything was fine, her old phone was working and got the new phone ready to be returned. The next afternoon we were heading for a 2 hour trip. As we were leaving she noticed that her phone wasn't working. When you called it there was a automated message saying that phone was being restricted by the carrier. We decided to call the customer service number while we were driving. The number we used the night before no longer worked. Now instead of dialing 5 for technical support or 7 for all other questions. The numbers all switched to a second phone tree about setting up a smart pay phone. I went through some of those options hoping to speak to someone, but this number seemed to be for store use. We tried every number multiple times held for 45 minutes, and still nothing. I tried calling a regular Verizon help line, they gave me another number to try for Total but, that number went to an automated system about privacy act for Nevada and California. I thought this a little odd since I live in Pennsylvania. On the way back from our trip we did the same routine. Eventually getting someone in a department that thought I was a "Smart buy" customer. After 20 minutes of explaining that I wasn't leasing a phone through them, She said she was going to connect me to someone in the Total Verizon Department. I stayed on hold for the entire trip home until the line just hung up on me. At the house I jumped online and used the chat feature to connect with a customer care agent. They were prompt and quick to escalate the matter to another level, I received a call from a customer service agent a few minutes later. She asked me for the number of the phone I was calling about and I gave it to her. She then asked for the IMEI # and I gave that to her. Then she said that we needed a pin number for the account or the account number. I explained that I never needed one before and this account was in my Ex-wife's name and she might not be willing to give me the information. The CSR said I need that information or they couldn't do anything, So I texted my ex-wife and amazingly she gave me the Pin#. The CSR confirmed that the Pin was correct. She then said I need a second verification. She aske me what was the most frequent number texted or dialed from the line. My daughter only texted me and some family members. Her friends all use snapchat, We gave the CSR the number and she said we were wrong. So we went through the texts on my daughters phone and literally counted the text lines. We gave the CSR the next couple numbers but she said they were all incorrect as well. I then asked if it was the most used number from this phone or my ex-wife's, I thought maybe they were looking at her phone since she is the primary user. She just kept repeating the same line "I need the must frequently text or dialed number for the phone." I then asked if it was the most frequent of all time or recently. My daughter has had this phone through several relationships in Highschool. I thought maybe a long time ago she was texting more then snapchatting and it could skew a number. The CSR just repeated herself. "I need the must frequently text or dialed number for the phone." I told her that I gave her every number we could think of. She said there was nothing she could do. I then aske for a manager, she said there was none and there was nothing she could do. I said someone there has to be able to do something. She said no there wasn't. I then aske to speak to someone I could file a complaint with. She at first said there wasn't anyway to do that. I said then give me the contact number they use to get a hold of next level support and was told there was no number. After being transferred back and forth from CSR to CSR I was supposed to get a call from someone that I could file a complaint with. I never received that call.

Greedy company
Total Wireless is Total Scam! If you buy a unlocked phone, tw won’t allow you to have wifi calling nor mobile hotspot! And if you want those features you need to buy a phone from total wireless! Total wireless has limited amount of good phones and all they have is either junk phones or way too expensive phones!

I have spent so many hours trying to make the simplest of changes. I deal with tech support daily in my professional life, this is by far the worst customer service I've ever seen. It's unfortunate. because the cell service and plans are pretty decent
