I had decided to move from TMobile to…
I had decided to move from TMobile to another company. I contacted TMobile customer care. I want to make sure there was nothing block my 3 lines from porting over to my new carrier. After being transferred twice to different retention departments I was finally connected to the correct department. I asked was there any thing blocking my ability to transfer. An example a blocked phone. They stated everything is fine. I asked the next question. May I have my account number and transfer pin. Here’s where everything began to unravel I was given the wrong account number. I was told I could generate a transfer pin by going into T life account. I was instructed on how to complete this function. I generated a transfer pin. I hung up and passed the information to my new carrier. After 3.5 hours the new carrier stated the account number given was incorrect. I then went into my T Lite and obtained the correct account number. I contacted T Mobile customer care and explained the situation. The excellent rep understood my situation. We verified my account. Now here is where it gets interesting. She also generated my transfer pin and gave it to me. We verified the transfer pin twice. I now asked for credit due to a wasted 3.5 hours attempting to use a bogus account number given to me by retention. After escalating up their chain. No credit was given. Me and my family was in that store because of incorrect information given by T-Mobile on purpose. Here’s the good news. I am saving 60% by moving off T-Mobile. That like to raise your rates slightly every six months.
