Ting is provided by my insurance company and I am so thankful for that. I was unaware that the porcelain fixture in my bathroom was arcing. Ting monitoring caught it, called me immediately and helped me resolve the situation immediately. They contacted the electrician and worked directly with him to report and resolve. I am a huge fan and am telling everyone I know that Ting Rocks

I’d like to thank the Ting Team for alerting me to a recent anomaly they picked up through the sensor we have plugged in our home. A member of Ting walked me to the area of the house where the issue was spotted. I was prompted on the phone to turn on and off a decorative candle light in the area. The light turned out to be the culprit for the warning of a potential fire risk. The Ting Rep had me unplug the culprit, monitored the readings 48 hours, and notified me the issue had been pinpointed and resolved. Thanks again Ting team for the peace of mind, and thanks to State Farm for providing your valuable service as part of our home insurance coverage.

Lights started out just flickering. Then some would go out completely, then come back on. Then our electric dryer kicked on and off. Had made appointment with an electrician, but couldn’t make it for several days. Then I received a text from Ting. Explaining the issues, and to call for provider. So I phoned them to a recording, thinking they would not come right away being a Saturday. But they phoned me right back, and Penelec sent someone up within a half hour. Issue was broken wire atop the pole. Was redone atop the pole, and replaced lead wire to my house etc. If not for Ting, I would had waited for electrician to arrive several days later. Thank you Ting!

My house experienced a Ting alert. A fire hazard was detected by our Ting. I was contacted by the service and my husband and I were walked through discovering the source of the hazard and how to fix it. Cameron, our contact, was patient, knowledgeable, and kind.

If it wasn’t for Ting, I would never have known this particular outlet was defective.

The hazard was real. When I installed the Ting, it showed repeated voltage surges and brownouts. I assumed this was because our house has knob-and-tube wiring. The tech I spoke to at Ting told me that was wrong. There was a 90% chance the fault was outside the house, not inside. Therefore, I called Ameren, and they sent someone out. The tech found a broken neutral line between the transformer and our house. He looked for probably a minute. It had been there for awhile.

The Ting monitoring team noticed a possible wiring hazard somewhere in the home in regards to an outlet and notified me via text, email, and phone call. At the time we were not home and called back immediately then after speaking with someone on the team it was noted that there were signs of something being turned on at a specific time of day so that we could narrow down where this issue might be coming from. After returning home and checking various outlet sources with a team member, he was able to virtually find that the source was in our main kitchen light fixture which is also a ceiling fan with 3 sconce lights and after removing the old bulbs then trying new ones the issue was resolved. I was shocked to find out that an old light bulb could cause such a fire hazard and greatly blessed to have had a Ting device installed that helped save us from a possible fire. The entire team that worked on this issue is to be highly commended especially Mark who was in contact with me every step of the way to resolution. I recommend every household purchase a Ting device and subscription and am especially grateful that this service is included with our State Farm home insurance coverage. Thank you all so much!

We had just recently switched insurance companies for our home. While going through the insurance app I came across the information to receive the ting monitor. A couple of days later I received the item and immediately installed the monitor. The very next day a storm came through and we had a near lightning strike. Unknowingly our service lines were damaged. If it weren’t for the ting monitor we would never had known that there was a potentially dangerous situation with our service. And with the repair credit, and very helpful service team from Ting, within days things were repaired and everything was back to running smoothly. Something so simple can obviously save you from a serious situation. Grateful to those keeping an eye on us.
