I bought this bag because of the lifetime warranty promise. Unfortunately, after regular use, a key area failed. I was told the bag is not repairable — and that’s it. This wasn’t abuse or misuse. The damage occurred under normal conditions, and the part that failed seems poorly designed for long-term durability. A lifetime warranty should mean something. If the bag cannot be repaired, a replacement or refund should be offered. Very disappointing experience. A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it.

Although the customer service was responsive, I was mystified as to why a lifetime warranty would not cover wear and tear. The company's statement about standing by their products is completely false. We did not pay the $25 for repair of the cracked inner lining, out of principle, so it was returned without shipping charges.

order went to a different town and state from the shipping address and they won't respond to my emails. it's been a month and 4 emails and they don't respond.

Dear sir/madam, I am writing this to complain about the poor service that I have received from Timbuk2 EU regarding my request for a customer return of products bought from Bleckmann in the Netherlands. I thought Bleckmann was a store but it turns out they are just a third party logistics company. I have sent 3 emails to the service @ timbuk2 europe.nl requesting a return of a product and have received no response at all. I live in the UK and purchased the item from this Bleckmann 'store' in The Netherlands, and there is a lack of customer service provided to me seemingly because the UK is no longer in the EU, because the return policy seems straightforward enough for those other countries in the EU. I only wished to return my products bought in good faith from the Timbuk2 product 'suppliers', and initiated all of this within my 14 day return period, but have heard absolutely nothing back and I am very disappointed. It reflects badly on Timbuk2 and its products if I could not buy them in the UK confident that I could return them easily if they were not suitable. I have left this review for others considering buying from Timbuk2EU in the UK, because I have no other option, having contacted Timbuk2 head office in San Francisco about this issue who were not of much help either.

I really wanted to like this company. I'm somebody who loves quality and hates waste, so I was okay paying $220 for a Timbuk2 backpack in 2019. I was sold on their supposedly ironclad warranty and commitment to repair instead of wasting bags. Within 5 years of buying the bag, one of the two zippers on the main compartment separated. It's a simply fix that I could've tried myself but I thought I'd make use of Timbuk2's vaunted warranty repair program, and sure enough, they denied my claim...over a separated zipper. Suffice it to say that, if they won't fix my bag zipper, they won't honor any warranty repairs, so trust me: this lovely bag you're considering dropping $200+ on is absolutely not worth it because these guys WILL NOT STAND BY IT. Don't buy into their supposed commitments to zero waste or loyalty to customers. Just buy a cheaper bag from MEC or Sport Chek. Hell a jansport will last you longer than this junk.

UK Review here for Timbuk2.co.uk. Bought a bag (Authority Backpack) which as a product is nice but much smaller than anticipated so i want to return it. Firstly, they do not indicate the bag is coming from the EU rather than the UK. For returns, they do not provide a return label or any guidance except an address. This means you actually have to export it back to them and the return cost is nearly 25% of the cost of the bag (cheapest quote, £37 return for a £160 bag). They do not refund postage. I would not have proceeded if I knew this. I emailed that service customer support email. No response at all. Nothing. So now stuck with a £160 which is no way a credible 17 inch laptop backpack. Not happy.

"We'll be with you shortly" when you call.....I've been on hold for an hour. Took my hard earned money for a custom designed bag and have heard nothing in weeks since placing the order.

Massive customer service problem!!! I paid in advance, the package was lost and the customer service is suddenly no longer interested in clarifying the problem. Never again !
