Manage Expectations Better
Overall I think TileClub is a reputable company with a beautiful selection of tiles. Unfortunately my company had a very low-touch experience that left us reaching out for clarity on availability and ETAs. We ended up ordering a backordered material, and it was not until after purchasing it that we learned it was over 2 months before it would be available. The website did not advise it was backordered beforehand. If we had known this was the case, we would not have ordered the tile. Our client's project was postponed and they were not pleased! Once the material was back in stock it was unclear when it was shipped, where it was shipped from, and we did not receive tracking information or updates on the ETA until it was out for delivery. The internal communication at Tile Club could use improvement as well as implementing a better process for managing client expectations. As far as account management, there seems to be very little distinction between us (professionals) purchasing, or a homeowner. Whenever I did speak with a representative, they were professional, but did not provide any new information. I will order from Tile Club again if a client selects one of your materials but I will proceed with caution based on our first experience with availability and tracking the shipment. We love your tile selection! Please take this feedback to improve the customer experience and continue to grow!

Hi Tiffany, we appreciate your feedback. Our team reviewed the product page with the backorder concern in mind and made the decision to move the highlighted Backorder notice and expected ship date above the calculator to try and make it more clear when tiles are expected to be restocked and ship. We definitely appreciate you taking the time to leave your comments about your experience so our team can continue to improve our customer communications and website.
