CORRECTION: It was just my luck to get a subscription during a scheduled maintenance window. The site IS in fact accessible and responsive from Europe, which is a great relief for me! Just purchased a lifetime subscription via Pocketnow deals and I am looking forward to enjoying this service. Hopefully future maintenance windows will be few and far apart, and to avoid future confusion - well announced in advance! ;-) All's Well That Ends Well!!

Just bought 2tb lifetime subscription, and Im unable to even load the page. Site has been down for hours, Contacted them via Facebook and no reply...

Immediately after I purchased lifetime membership through mashable, site doesn't responding. This is happening for the past several hours. Maybe they have exit scammed????

Now i am a Lifetime user of Thunder drive (2TB) , everything looks fine but one flaw is that we can upload 5GB file only.. plz upgrade it to atleast 10 GB.

These guys have just started out, and are offering a promo to get customers interested in the service, so far I am one of those customers who was lucky enough to get a 4TB lifetime deal with them. Here are the positives (I’m Australian based, in Perth, WA): - Online Interface is very clean and simple - Based on my emails to customer support, they reply very quickly, and answer my questions to the point. - Again, based off of my emails with support, data is encrypted at both stand-still (Stationary in the server) and while in transit (Uploading/downloading) and is inaccessible to the Thunderdrive staff. In other words, your data is private to you, and only you. Although i must add, this is NOT a true ‘zero knowledge’ service as this does not have a dedicated desktop app, or phone app for ‘end to end’ encryption. - I have asked the question whether a user’s data could be pulled from the server if compelled to do so (To see if the above was true), the customer service rep answered with 'No. This would be futile'. (For you that don’t know what futile means; "incapable of producing any useful result; pointless" Based on the above, I am hoping Thunderdrive stick to there guns and provide a 100% anonymous / zero-knowledge service (eventually) as everybody is concerned about the privacy of there files in this day and age! And should honestly make great competition against the other cloud providers as this seems to be a rarity e.g. some providers say that the files are encrypted, but hold the key to the files, therefor can easily obtain your data if compelled to do so. A true zero-knowledge provider cannot do this, as your password itself is the only encryption key, and the passwords are stored encrypted too, meaning only you can access your stored files as your device is the only way to unencrypt your files. Work in progress, not necessarily negative: - File uploads are not super quick for us Australians, but in saying that, they are currently working on a fix for there US servers so its probably a tad unfair to say they are not quick under normal conditions. (I wonder if they will add a server closer to Australia, we always get left out haha?) - As it’s a brand new service we are still waiting for the IOS/Android App, this needs to include Automatic upload for your photos, and needs to be able to download to your device, and hopefully integrate within the IOS files app so it is a part of the system. Only time will tell. - Same as above, we are also waiting on the Windows/Mac Application to allow syncing of folders, and easier uploading/downloading rather than using the online browser. Hopefully they allow both an offline drive (Just for viewing files saved in the cloud) and a fully synchronised setup where your computer folders sync with the cloud folders e.g. documents folder etc, a way to monitor your shared files, download traffic etc. - It would be great to see stationary image imbedding as well, e.g. for your own website, or forum embedded images, not a share link, but a direct embed link. - Hopefully they add automatic backups for all the social networks (Photo uploads for Facebook, Instagram etc.) That’s all I can think of for now, they are still very new, and the online cloud service works as intended. I hope they succeed, and I hope they end up as a zero-knowledge cloud (and advertise the fact). I can see this being one of the best cloud services eventually, you just need to give them time to grow, and improve on what they have already created.

This feels like a scam. I have not taken the service.. i read in the comments here that the 2tb lifetime was for 59$.. but when i went to take it it shows 1200$ and plus 39$ for making it 4TB. making it 1239$. when the numbers are like the above it feels more like a scam. I may be wrong but that was my perception.
