They want you to buy shipping insurance to make sure it gets shipped? Lol
In the past month or so I made two orders. The first arrived safely and items were about as expected, but the shipping method they use is very slow. Items arrived about 11 days after they shipped. Slightly annoying, but not a huge deal. My experience with the second order was just ridiculous. I made about a $400 order and paid extra to expedite this time. I got a Fed Ex tracking number the same day. 9 days later, my order was still in pre-ship status with no acknowledgement that fed ex had ever received it. I reached out to the merchant for an update, who quickly responded that the carrier must have failed to scan it in and was likely lost in transit. They advised they were not responsible for shipping issues and that I should buy shipping insurance next time. They did refund the express shipping. They said I would not be offered a resolution for another 15 calendar days. They said they would reach back out. Those 15 days came and went. I disputed on my card. This is silly. Because there is no acknowledgement of receipt by the carrier (FedEx), there is no evidence this order was ever fulfilled or sent. To this day, the package is still in “pre-ship” status. I will probably never know if they ever sent it or not. It’s a bit insulting to be advised to purchase shipping insurance in the future when insurers typically do not cover “shipments” that were never scanned in (aka, no proof they were actually shipped.) Obviously, I do not feel comfortable doing business here again and feel generous giving two stars.
