Sexist app, which wants you to prioritize men over women
As an artist, I can't say the tools they give you allow you to have full control over your designs. They purposely give you only one template to affect the placing on all shirts, but for women's shirts have programed the design to look much smaller. And if I adjust the template to make the design on the women's shirts the right size, the design on the men's shirts gets way too large. I tried chatting with someone from the site, who said that's just how it works. When I claimed that is sexist as I am having to choose whether the men's or the women's shirts are going to look crappy, his solution for me was to use unisex shirts for women. So I guess it's women, I should not care about. When I said that is sexist, the other option I got was to make 2 postings of the same design, one for men, and one for women.... As if that's not sexist too. So yeah, Threadless is a sexist site, which doesn't give you full control of your designs, and suggests you prioritize men over women.

Hello there, Thank you for reaching out and our apologies for the trouble with print sizing on our tees. Different garments have different print areas due to variations in size. More form-fitting styles - such as our Fitted tees - have a smaller print area as there's less available printable space on the tee compared to other styles. To make the print size more uniform across styles, you'd have to upload your design in different sizes as separate design listings: a larger one for smaller tees and a smaller print for larger styles. We're more than happy to help you through that process. While our Fitted women's tees (as well as the V-Necks and Triblends) have a slimmer fit, we’ve worked to add other styles that are more size-inclusive, like our relaxed-fit Dolmans, Unisex, and Extra Soft women's tees, and we continue to add more. We understand that different fits work for different people and have people of all genders and identities looking for the right fit for them. As a result, we find many women prefer the Unisex or Classic styles over the more fitted ones and we've given Shop Owners the option to use more gender neutral style categories in their Artist Shops to reflect that. We're always making improvements to our platform and we've shared your insight with our Production Team. If you would like help uploading and sizing your designs, do drop us an email at [email protected] and we'll be happy to assist!
