VSA showed up in my life completely randomly! It’s one of those things that you never knew you needed until you have it, no joke. I was born with a cancerous brain tumor that intertwined down my spine and given 3 months to live. After recovering, I had to wear a full body brace from my waist all the way up to my neck for 7 years. When I entered school, the school district saw me as a liability. I was told that I wasn’t allowed to play on the playground equipment, run on campus or participate in PE, only sit, and watch. For years, I was constantly reminded that I was unable to do things like everyone else because I was “weak’ and “fragile”. When I became a teenager, my neck was fused to stabilize it which created additional challenges. My confidence never had a chance which perpetuated so many limiting beliefs. When VSA came along, I was feeling so defeated. I had already literally tried everything to lose weight, gain strength and muscle. I thought to take a chance on VSA but definitely had my doubts as nothing else had ever rendered results. Let me just tell you all now, VSA SHOWED me a new reality and blasted away all of my doubts, excuses, fears, limiting beliefs and instead offered me confidence, newfound knowledge, a mindset shift and RESULTS I could have never imagined. After VSA thoughtfully took inventory of my goals, I was matched with my Coach, Michael. Michael has a plethora of knowledge regarding health and fitness and a radiating passion that clearly drives him to positively impact the lives of others while educating them along the way! Michael has taken the guess work out of everything! He meticulously created all of my meal plans down to the grams based on my body, preferences, goals and progress as well as my workouts. Everything is customized and unique to YOU! Michael always ensures that I know the “why” and benefits behind everything in my plan. Michael makes himself available through text, zoom and e-mail so you will never feel alone on this journey. He is always ready to celebrate my wins! I tell everybody, outside of VSA of course, that my coach is better than theirs’s lol. VSA and Coach Michael saw me as a strong, capable individual from day 1 without judgement. They saw my potential before I could see it myself. VSA burrowed its way into my heart and there is no turning back! For anyone on the fence, just do it! The greatest relationship you can have in this life is with yourself so, invest in yourself today!! Thank you VSA and Coach Michael!!!!

The Vegan Superhero Academy (VSA) is amazing! Anders and Leif have built something great, and the coaches they have plus the community they built only make VSA better. I could go on and on about how wonderful everyone is I have encountered in my fitness journey with VSA, but I bet if you're reading this you'd prefer to read specifics rather than general platitudes, so let's get specific - I'll tell you my story, what lead me to VSA, and my experience within it. I was an athlete in my teens and early 20s, but 25 years of inactivity since meant that I was overweight and decidedly not in good shape. I lost a lot of weight in 2017 through a medically-supervised weight loss program, but in the four years since leaving that program I watched the weight creep back on. The pandemic accelerated my weight gain. I put on 40 lbs. in a year, going from 250 lbs. to 290 (I'm 6'6", but even at that height I was way too heavy, out of shape, and generally not feeling good about myself). I'd been listening to Leif and Anders' podcast, the Vegan Gym Podcast, off and on for a while, and had even reached out to them a few times. Anders always responded quickly to my messages, but I couldn't convince myself to continue the conversation and take the first step to finally doing something about my weight gain. Until I finally did. After filling out a questionnaire designed to gauge my level of interest, I set up a phone call with Anders. He told me about how VSA works, what would be expected of me, what I could expect of them, etc. He answered all the questions I had. He never pressured me to sign up, never made me feel like he was trying to sell me something, or anything like that. He simply presented me options and gave me time to decide what I wanted to do. I decided I wanted to sign up, so I did. Within days, I had a coach. I met with my coach and we discussed my personal goals (at the time: lose weight, gain muscle, get down to 225 lbs.). We talked about my exercise history, my food likes and dislikes, any lingering injuries I might have - pretty much everything one should consider when starting a new fitness and nutrition program. Shortly thereafter, my coach, Emma, emailed me four different meal plans, each calibrated to my precise macros (the grams of protein, carbs, and dietary fat I needed to eat each day). She also sent me my workout program. We reviewed both to make sure that I was comfortable with everything, and within a few weeks of signing up, I was on my fitness journey. Over the next six months, I followed the plan that Coach Emma had put together for me, and lo and behold, I lost weight. I gained muscle. I got stronger. I started to like how I looked. I hit my goal weight in about five months, losing over 60 lbs. in that time, and never once feeling hungry or like I was depriving myself. In fact, I often felt full, like I wouldn't be able to eat everything I needed to. Then it was time for my goals to change. Since I no longer wanted or needed to lose weight, we decided to focus on adding more muscle and reshaping my body. Within two days of making this change, Coach Emma had new meal plans for me to choose from and new workouts to do. At the time of this writing, I've been following my new plan for about two months, and it's been going great! I've kept the weight off, I'm getting stronger, and I can see the physical changes in my body composition. What VSA has taught me is how to eat vegan food that is nutritious, filling, and healthy. It's taught me how to enjoy working out. It's taught me that I can accomplish what seemed at one time like an impossible goal: lose weight, get stronger, and do so in a sustainable manner. I'm a 48-year-old guy who had spent over two decades living a very sedentary lifestyle and eating poorly. In less than eight months I've become a healthy, fit, active vegan thanks to VSA. I cannot recommend VSA highly enough. Whatever your fitness goals, VSA can help you achieve them.

I am someone who struggled with my weight majority of my life. When I started my plant based journey I felt so much better physically but continued to be frustrated at how hard it was for me to reach my weight loss goals. VSA has completely changed the game for me. I went from a high fat and high carb diet to a more balanced nutrition program with a lot more protein than I was ever getting before. I’ve seen more results in a short amount time in VSA than I have in the last few years. Coach Tania is the best and she does everything she can to create a plan that fits your lifestyle so that the results come without feeling like you are depriving yourself. The accountability that I have with Coach Tania is another piece that I was missing in trying to reach my goals. It helps so much. VSA in general is the most customer forward company I’ve ever encountered. The attention to detail and the care that they show for each and every client is immense. They have made me feel seen and heard and are really focused on what works for you as a person as opposed to throwing you a bunch of set rules and guidelines that you must follow. Not to mention the community that they have built is so fun and supportive. We all build each other up. It’s like a huge family! I’ve learned so much and I know that I’ll take all of this knowledge with me in the future. VSA has changed my life!

I am so happy I decided to join the VSA. My experience in the first 90 days has been incredible, and I’ve decided to continue on with the academy! The coaching support, customized meal plans, customized training programs, and endless online classes and support truly set the VSA apart from other things out there. I have always been health conscious and motivated to eat well and exercise but have never really dialed in what I need to do to reach my goals…until now. Now I am proving to myself it’s absolutely possible to sculpt the body I want while following a vegan diet. I absolutely love the community, and my coach Julia is the best! She has supported me every step of the way and has continually tailored my program for my lifestyle and to help me through an injury (broken toe) when I started and a strained back recently. And her excitement and encouragement are priceless. I love talking with her regularly! 💕Beyond that, the VSA equips you to go forward on your own. It’s about instilling knowledge within you to help you continue, and be successful in, this life-long journey.

My experience with these brilliant vegan professionals goes beyond 5 stars. Short story: vegan super heros help clients become vegan super heros. Im 81 days in and its been life changing. Im glad I can stick with the academy till summertime to compete further phases of the program. This isn't just about what you put in your mouth or what you put out in the gym... its "what do you want out of life" coaching. They can teach you how to reach your goals in the most healthy conditions possible. Im endlessly thankful for this program 🙌 🙏 My coach Julia Furlipa is a angel guiding me on my way 😇 motivating me inspiring and encouraging me while working the math figuring the food science and finding foods that are super nourishing and clean to eat while being super savory and calculating my reps and sets to help me grow 💪. There are zoom classes almost daily to support teach and encourage you on your health and fitness journey hosted by several coaches at once. You get so much perspective and great information from these classes. Julia corrects my form and adjusts my course thru my videos progress pictures and other metrics I send to her. If she sees me do something wrong in any video- she saw it, pointed it out, with gentle correction and great patience she re-demonstrates for me how to correct myself, and I'm working on improving it. She always recognizes my efforts and she is such a bright light. Im so glad I got placed with her. Consistency is key. I've been on my New year resolution since October - I'm not stopping now.

When I joined VSA 3 months back, my physical and mental health was pretty bad. I'd been diagnosed with PCOS and Hashimotos. After seeing multiple doctors about it, I was told there is not enough research to cure the root cause and they could only cure the symptoms. I adopted a plant based lifestyle. However, I didn't know how to create balanced meals. After being tossed around from naturopath to endocrinologist to nutritionists, I decided to give VSA a try. So glad I did. Coach Emma was very understanding of my concerns and needs. She created a balanced meal plan that was just delicious. I have had the same breakfast from the first plan she created for the past 90 days and I still look forward to having it tomorrow. She also trained me on how to create balanced meals, how to establish a healthy relationship with food, how to listen to my body and make changes to the plan, cultivating a long term vision. This program is not just about nutrition and training. It's also about mindset, accountability, long term wins, showing up for yourself everyday, giving it your best. The whole program is tailored to what works best for me rather than a rigid plan that I must follow. The group is very motivating and uplifting. We share our wins and cheer each other. We share our struggles and support each other. I started seeing results in my mindset and body in the first few weeks. I lost my migraines, digestive discomfort, brain fog, chronic fatigue, pain and also ~11 lbs of fat :-) VSA gave me the exact tools I needed to regain my health and strength. Now I am excited to set new goals and targets and win them! Trust me, this is the last fitness program you'd need :)

I've been with VSA for almost two months now and love it! It has been the missing piece to reaching my fitness goals and finding a sustainable healthy lifestyle. The private Facebook group is amazing and so supportive! I love that VSA not only gives you a plan, but truly sets you up to be self sustaining after. Although all these things are amazing, they do not overshadow the BEST part about VSA...and that would be the COACHES!...Coach Laura is one of the most AMAZING women I've met!! She is sooooo knowledgeable, understanding, caring, and tough. I think she is my lost soul sister!! Her excitement to keep getting stronger and geeking out on the "whys," "how to do this better," and always wanting to know more speaks volumes to me. I've made amazing gains already with her expertise and am so excited to continue my journey with her! Thanks so much Coach Laura!! You rock!!!

My journey with VSA is soon coming to an end but the last three months have been life changing. This is more than a program because they teach more of a lifestyle change and staying consistent. I had Tania who was amazing. She was always supportive and super helpful with every question I had. I definitely recommend.
