I'm Not Sure This Company Truly Cares About Its Clients
I had written a review on May 4, 2026. It was not a positive review. The owner, I assume, responded and made me feel he really cared to hear more details about why I was disappointed in the program. We had a few emails back and forth and he asked that I discuss my situation by phone. My job is 100% on the phone and is my number one priority. This is a busy time of the year and I can't take time away from my work. I explained this and said I'd be happy to continue to communicate by email. Since that email, it's been crickets. Not a word. I'm really having a difficult time believing this company cares when they will only communicate with me on their terms or have discontinued communicating altogether. I find it very strange in this day and age a company that does not want to communicate electronically.

Hi Patti,
I’m sorry to see this second review. I did respond to your email two days ago, so I was surprised to read that you felt I had stopped communicating with you. That was not my intention.
I’ve followed up again directly and would be happy to continue the conversation by email or on a call.

Bad experience, glad didn’t go any further with them.
I had contact with VSA when exploring their website; they texted me and encouraged me to schedule a call with them. I asked for pricing and the answer was that the program is so individual that they cannot price it until they find out more about my needs. I scheduled a call with the "success coach". After questions on both sides, i asked for pricing and the person would not give that information unless i said that i was willing to commit. I wasn’t so she ended the call. During the call she was evasive about the specifics of the program but i got as much as: it's a 3 month service and "then you graduate". During the 3 months you have 4 weekly 30-60 min, and 4 biweekly 30-60 min calls. There is also access to their materials and multiple group calls. So the program isn't that individual in terms of hours you get. They might offer a good service... who knows, but the secrecy about the cost, and the sales-like, rushed and aggressive style of their person in that zoom call was a total turn-off. I have decades of experience in a people centered business and would not dream of treating potential clients this way.

Hi Beata, I'm sorry to hear how you felt about your recent phone call with a member of our team. I don't want anyone to feel that way. My name is Leif and I'm the co-founder of the Vegan Superhero Academy. I just reached out to you via text to see if we can discuss your experience in more detail. I hope to speak with you soon. Thank you.

One/1 less ⭐. I tried to let them know I was having…
I tried to let them know I was having extra struggles financially and it was dismissed with he didn't see why to not charge my last payment at the scheduled time, immediately after I asked for help on that because work got slow and the finances were tight for me. When I had to focus more on earning money and had less time to dedicate to the program.
You (The Vegan Gym) like to point out things that I said that make me look like I just wouldn't do what I had to. I feel like you are borderline bully with the things you bring out. You are neglecting all the other things said and done.
I felt they (The Vegan Gym) didn't care. Sure they coached, sending positive messages. But again, I feel like had they been willing to work with me, things would have gone better for both of us.
The coaching you (The Vegan Gym) talk about is positive messages. They (Vegan Gym, positive messages) were nice, but I couldn't do all you wanted me to do at the time. So it was basically you sending me a positive message, and me saying "thanks", "I'll try" for almost the whole time. I signed up at that time, because of some things you (Vegan Gym) had said- like am I going to sign up, since I had responded to some of your ads before. And if what I was doing was working, then I wouldn't need your help. Really, why couldn't you just have paused at the beginning, and then at least let me get the benefit when I was able to catch back up, financially, so I could dedicate more time to exercising & trying your recipes. This put me in a super hard spot, where I am sad that I spent my money that way. I only listened to your 1 extra coaching call because I knew you were unwilling to work with me, I was very sad & disappointed by that fact. I knew you wouldn't budge, so the only choice was to listen. You have made yourself look/sound so good. But, I have experienced unnecessary hardship with this.
You offered things that were helpful in your eyes. I asked for things to be paused (in the beginning, before I got my "plan" from you guys), because of what happened with work, you wouldn't listen/ budge. So.. the "coaching" happened & all I could do at the time was say "thanks for the positive messages", pretty much. I haven't done your program. At least let me finish the courses in VSA and the exercises in TrueCoach that were part of my plan. Now that I have more time I can dedicate. I am so disappointed with how you offered something, I would have given you 3 stars, & now you only communicate here, in TrustPilot. But I feel worse and worse about your program and treatment of me since you made those offers & now won't communicate with me, since I said I can't be bought out of writing my experience. From 3 stars, to 2, to 1 now, because you won't communicate & learn from what you have also done and said, that has hurt me. I am disappointed that your sales guy isn't even part of your company. He just was a 'good sales guy'.. In my opinion this isn't the most ethical way of doing business. You should refund people who want refunded, if they find they can't do the program. At least for the portion they didn't receive yet. Even if I had lost $1,000, i.e. if you had listened when I told you (Anders) that things were tight with work, & that I was scared because I had just been diagnosed with scoliosis (at least I told the coach this, and maybe both of you), after signing up for your program, but before all payments had gone through. I tried to communicate throughout, like you said to do when we were negotiating the contract, which is why I decided to sign up, because it seemed like you were willing to listen if there was something that would come up, & work with me if things out of my control came up, like they did.. But, when my communication to you was rejected, I felt super sad. This just made it end up bad for us, and now an even worse review.
$3,000 not very well spent.
I should have at most only paid $1,000 and lost that money for your initial efforts, & then you could have refunded $1,000, and not charged the last $1,000, when I told you how things went with work and the new diagnosis (and before your plan for me was even finalized & sent to me). Most of the coaching happened after you said that you saw no reason to not charge the last payment, and that the plan was almost finished.
So disappointed.
Wish I'd been stronger and told you "No!" No to you charging that last payment anyway. No to the program, cause it was too much of a financial stretch for me, made more difficult after signing up (contract) by work less busy, therefore earnings changing. No even to your pressure sale and contract signing. Didn't like the contract from the beginning, and you know this. We had a pretty long conversation on the phone & changed the contract (not to my liking, but leaving out one tiny thing), before I reluctantly signed it. Anders, you know this. Unless you've forgotten. I am disappointed.☹️

This is an all-around sad situation and an unfortunate review of our program especially in light of our many attempts to go above and beyond to help you, Heidi.
Our team invested more time in working with you than probably any of our other 1,200+ clients with the hope of helping you to push past your self-imposed obstacles. But you didn’t put in the time or the effort for your own transformation. You even openly discussed not being vegan anymore, which our clients found disturbing and disruptive.
To top it all off, you thought we should give you a full refund after we had already coached you. Not because of anything that we did wrong, but rather because you made a self-described “foolish financial decision” that caused you financial stress. When we told you that we couldn’t do that because we had already paid our team for working with you, you accused us of only caring about money and the business.
We even offered to give you an additional 45 days of coaching for free because you were frustrated that you hadn’t followed through at all with the program. You didn’t take us up on our offer. Instead you asked for the extra coaching plus money back. It didn’t seem that anything we could actually offer was enough for you.
Change is never easy and investing in yourself is rarely comfortable. But this program has the power to change your life if you let it. In the end, you let yourself down. We wish you all the best.

Phony staff that functions as unhealthy private club
I'm pretty sure one of the owners and CEO's Anders targets people, influencers and clients that he personally disagrees with to waste their time. At least, that was my experience after a very rude call in Jan/Feb 22. I scheduled a call, was canceled through messenger without agreeing to cancel, rescheduled and then told that I didn't seem interested on Zoom, reached out again to try to stay connected and went through a lot of back and forth about being ready to pay when I make the call or they cancel it without consent. The attitude was honestly off putting after being told how many clients they help and I was a potential client looking for a 100% vegan service in this price range at the time. The trainer (Ander's sister) who joined the call was introduced through emails, and I was told I would be talking to her after weeks of chatting with Anders who added me personally to Facebook then ultimately dismissed working with me and referred me to expensive alternatives. I was told by the trainer that I seemed distracted and asked repeatedly if I was okay and that she couldn't hear me at all on the call even though she replied to what I said after making those jokes and was rudely asked to reschedule and had to ask her to please give me the information I needed since I already rescheduled and trying to ignore the awkward/rude set up of the call. I was on my livestream which has promoted a vegan lifestyle for more than 7 years and had already been rescheduled, then treated with a lot of mockery and her acting like I was apathetic or treating me like really happy then weirdly sad and straight up lied to my face and answered my questions with a rude, evasive attitude. My audience of over 15K followers all agreed how awful the company acted after witnessing the "interview" and how rude she was being, didn't answer my questions, lied, etc. and I had multiple comments suggesting I go elsewhere. I then paid a subscription with a different monthly program and told Anders how disappointing it was since I was running in Miss California USA and did not receive the support I needed. She boasted having less than 1,000 clients in 5 years or so, and they seem to use good reviews to back up this phony attitude. It's bordering on fraud/scam to waste people's time, energy and resources for personal gain. I am really disappointed to then be told it's the only time they ever had a problem before. Anders apologized to me and referred me to different vegan programs and I feel that companies like this support the vegan elitism that is very unhealthy, unproductive and toxic for people who have non vegan family and friends. I haven't felt comfortable to approach the other vegan businesses that were referred to me knowing how badly I was treated and feeling like vegans don't support each other and I was basically told it's me having a problem. Why plant based companies don't support and uplift each other whenever is possible, I'll never understand. And it was a HUGE opportunity wasted. So, bottom line, be ready to pay on the call or don't schedule one, there's no 1on1 support as it was explained to me through this monthly subscription and everything had a different structure than I initially expected and I had to pry for information which was very uncomfortable, probably Anders will not be on the call and they will not be upfront about the price without you passing their "interview", I had to ask many times what the price was and passionately express how discouraging it was that she was basically ignoring me. She also seemed to last minute join the call as she was sitting in the attic in the dark with no lighting so it all seemed very negligent. I think they may as well stick to the automated messages without turning away some of their clients, especially I mentioned her attitude not being supportive of other women of different ages being able to introduce themselves to the lifestyle. I don't know many businesses that function by convincing others 'you wouldn't get along well' attitude. I've been ignored by the team since these events and have had a very rocky relationship with my plant based diet and found a better connection with a non vegan trainer who sympathized with me after feeling very alone. Please don't be discouraged if you meet the same attitudes with this company, this is obviously treated as some kind of private club and opening up to them about your goals, career, and mindset will not guarantee you their support and friendship. I haven't ever had problems with a vegan trainer or trainers I worked with in the past and this would genuinely be the first time I've been treated this way by a company I wanted to switch over to and give air time with Miss USA and my platform. Big bummer. *I have previously worked for vegan women owned companies, on the #1 Beachbody women's team and w/1st Phorm.

I’m sorry to anyone who reads Danielle’s fabricated review or our response. There are nearly 200 other REAL reviews of the Vegan Superhero Academy from REAL clients that you can read if you are interested in learning more about our coaching program. But if you are in the mood for some drama, then grab a bowl of popcorn and enjoy ;)
Just to be clear, Danielle never joined our program and has never interacted with our Vegan Superhero Academy community. She had a call my sister, Elke, on February 4th, 2022 at 4 pm EST to discuss her vegan fitness goals and decide if this program was the right fit for her. She is posting a fabricated review of a program she never joined. She has no knowledge of the Vegan Superhero Academy or experience working with our team.
We got some weird vibes from Danielle in our first conversations via text, but we gave her the benefit of the doubt and wanted to see if we could help her so we scheduled a phone call. Since we weren’t sure how our call with her was going to go, we decided to record our phone call just in case something happened. We had no idea how terrible this call (or her nasty comments afterward) would be.
Here is the full length recorded call between Danielle and Elke: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EWyZ6rUEM--t5_lHk_jwEiTzpgcnIBU-/view?usp=sharing
If you don’t want to listen to the audio file, you can read the transcription here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1E13dp3mK7Tx0YyJHlZxqEtG8TJ_TMRjf/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=101966782085948400805&rtpof=true&sd=true
As the recording and following analysis will show, Danielle is not being truthful.
Prior to her call with Danielle, Elke had already been on our team for almost a full year and had taken a total of 553 calls. Out of those 553 calls she has never received any negative comments or complaints. And she hasn’t received any other negative comments or complaints in the hundreds of calls since then.
Just a couple minutes after she got off a call with Danielle, I got on a call with Elke and she was in tears. She felt disrespected and belittled. My sister is one of the sweetest, most loving people I’ve ever known. I could not believe how Danielle treated her.
Miss California USA 2022 was crowned on Sunday, June 5, 2022, just a few weeks before Danielle posted this review. Given the fact that Danielle is just now posting a fabricated review for a program that she never joined nearly 5 months after a 16-minute phone conversation that she had with a member of our team, I don’t think the timing is a coincidence.
It would appear that after she didn't make the top 15 at Miss California USA 2022, she's aiming to hurt a business that refused to coach her.
In fact, Danielle alluded to this in her review by saying, “I then paid a subscription with a different monthly program and told Anders how disappointing it was since I was running in Miss California USA and did not receive the support I needed.”
After listening to our call with her or reading the transcript, it is apparent that Danielle never got on the call with the intention of working with us (she told Elke that she had already joined another program) and even if she did want to work with us, we wouldn’t have offered her a spot in our program based on her attitude.
Even after being defeated, Danielle still clings to the idea that we missed out on a “HUGE opportunity” by not coaching her because she was making a run for Miss California USA 2022. We don’t care. We care about people with good hearts. Not the spotlight. And definitely not rude, deceitful people.
Okay, let’s unpack Danielle’s many lies and half-truths. I will be referring to the above phone call recording with captions and timestamps.
EXAMPLE ONE: Danielle said in her review: “I scheduled a call, was canceled through messenger without agreeing to cancel.”
We canceled her call because she didn’t respond to us. When I asked Danielle about a response that she put in her application to the Vegan Superhero Academy, she mentioned that she would not be able to pay for our services until the first week of February 2022. We love to help people, but we also run a business and it doesn’t make sense to hop on calls to discuss a program with people who aren’t in a position to pay for it. That’s how all businesses work.
I then asked her when she would be available to speak during the first week of February 2022 so she could submit payment for our services if we both decided it was a good fit for her. She read my message and ignored me for over 3 days. Because I hadn’t heard from Danielle in over 3 days, I canceled our call and reached out to her to let her know why. I also asked Danielle to let me know when she was available in early February if she wanted to reschedule. She responded by thanking me and saying that she could make Thursday or Friday of that week work for her schedule.
Here is a screenshot of this text exchange and Danielle’s reschedule confirmation: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1otReWXYE7pjIdWq_0RvSNHqntzyhjWDW/view?usp=sharing
EXAMPLE TWO: Danielle said in her review: “She boasted having less than 1,000 clients in 5 years or so, and they seem to use good reviews to back up this phony attitude. It's bordering on fraud/scam to waste people's time, energy and resources for personal gain.”
We are very proud of the amount of lives we have changed through our coaching program but we never boasted about this. Danielle was actually the one who asked Elke how many clients we have worked with.
Danielle (12:09): How many c-, uh, clients do you guys have? Is this, like, new or …
Elke (12:15): This is not new. We've been around since, uh, 2017 and we've coached over 850 vegans.
Danielle (12:15): Okay, I see.
Furthermore, Danielle had no intention of joining our program when she hopped on the call. She told Elke towards the end of the conversation, “I've already paid a subscription to another service and so it's too late for me to go back on that.”
Here’s that part in the conversation:
Elke (21:58): Okay, gotcha. So, are, is there anything else that I can do for you or, or how can, how can I help you, how can I show up for you right now?
Danielle (22:11): Um, I'm really sad that if the, another young woman was following in my footsteps, if they met with this experience and you're not being, like, genuine and personable with everyone. You're saying they need to script, then I told Anders that I'm running for Miss USA and I think this is a really big disappointment because he postponed it and now I've already paid a subscription to another service and so it's too late for me to go back on that.
Elke (22:41): Okay.
Danielle hopped on this call with the intention of livestreaming the conversation to some audience and wasting Elke’s time while belittling her and our program.
With this in mind, here’s Danielle’s statement again: “It's bordering on fraud/scam to waste people's time, energy and resources for personal gain.”
Danielle, maybe you should read that statement again.
EXAMPLE THREE: Danielle said in her review: “I was told by the trainer that I seemed distracted and asked repeatedly if I was okay and that she couldn't hear me at all on the call even though she replied to what I said after making those jokes and was rudely asked to reschedule and had to ask her to please give me the information I needed since I already rescheduled and trying to ignore the awkward/rude set up of the call.”
Danielle was completely distracted during this call. If you listen to the audio file, you can hear how Elke is trying to get to know Danielle while Danielle is rude, distracted, evasive, and barely seems interested in the conversation. And Danielle admitted to livestreaming this conversation to some audience which demonstrates her true intentions and makes it clear just how disengaged she was.
Elke (06:28): Okay. Cool. So did you grow up there or did you end up moving there?
Danielle (06:34): Uh, so so, doesn't matter.
Elke (06:38): Oh, I was just curious. (laughs) Not, is everything all right?
Danielle (06:44): Yeah.
Elke (06:45): Okay, cool. I just saw you keep looking somewhere else, so I wasn't sure if there was anybody around you or anything. Cool. Well, I'm curious, though, I see that you are a student. What do you study?
Danielle (06:57): Oh, I study a few things, but, yeah. I was just curious about the program, like how much is it?
EXAMPLE FOUR: Danielle said in her review: “She also seemed to last minute join the call as she was sitting in the attic in the dark with no lighting so it all seemed very negligent.”
Elke was visiting our Dad’s house in New Jersey during the time of Danielle’s call. His house is currently under construction and the electrical work is still underway. There was plenty of natural light coming in from the windows, but that doesn’t even matter. Elke showed up fully prepared, unlike Danielle who didn’t know the first thing about how our program works and joined late. And as Danielle has publicly shared, she was livestreaming the conversation to some audience, which is the epitome of being “negligent” and disengaged.
We’re sorry the lighting wasn’t perfect for your livestream, Danielle. And by the way, livestreaming a private conversation without consent is illegal in California. You literally confessed to a crime in your review.
EXAMPLE FIVE: Danielle said in her review: “Anders apologized to me and referred me to different vegan programs and I feel that companies like this support the vegan elitism that is very unhealthy, unproductive and toxic for people who have non vegan family and friends.”
Notice the word choice here: “vegan elitism.” Based on her review and how she conducted herself on the call (and her secret livestream), Danielle appears to have some sort of resentment towards vegans.
On the contrary, we are very welcoming of people who want to become fully plant-based and vegan with our nutritional guidance. In fact, we have worked with over a hundred brand new vegans who went vegan through our program and there are dozens of 5-star reviews from such clients on this site.
Second of all, I did apologize at the time because I really care about helping people and I would never want anyone to feel as though we have wronged them in any type of way. This was before I listened to the call recording, which completely changed my perspective.
I then proceeded to ask Danielle if she would like recommendations for other vegan coaches. Danielle said yes and then thanked me for pointing her in another direction. She also removed the nasty message that she sent me after her call with Elke.
Screenshot 1: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DhBoXWyeC3XnIHKUhDFFtq-tVl4DqvGp/view?usp=sharing
Screenshot 2:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yVylN0oSVs41zn11X6vjnjxuJoi4heA0/view?usp=sharing
EXAMPLE SIX: Danielle said in her review: “So, bottom line, be ready to pay on the call or don't schedule one, there's no 1on1 support as it was explained to me through this monthly subscription and everything had a different structure than I initially expected and I had to pry for information which was very uncomfortable, probably Anders will not be on the call and they will not be upfront about the price without you passing their "interview", I had to ask many times what the price was and passionately express how discouraging it was that she was basically ignoring me.”
There are a lot of lies to unpack here. For one, we only provide a 1-on-1 coaching program and have never had a monthly subscription. This is abundantly clear by simply reading a few lines on our coaching website. Danielle showed up to the call with zero clue about how our program works despite us sending her plenty of materials ahead of time to explain exactly how our program works. She didn’t even take one minute to review a single page of information. She only hopped on the call to waste our time and play some sort of perverted game with her live audience.
Danielle (08:20): Um, just how does the program work.
Elke (08:23): Yeah, totally. And were you able to go through some of those review materials that we sent over also?
Danielle (08:29): I don't think so. I don't think I was able to if it was a packet or a pdf, I wasn't able to that.
Here is proof that we sent this information to her: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kg8kyKrtkUq_yLg4ia-Yd1HjibR1vzgd/view?usp=sharing
For two, even though I am the co-founder of this business, I take as many calls as my schedule allows. The call time that Danielle chose conflicted with another call on my schedule so I delegated the call to my sister Elke. Elke is extremely capable (she’s honestly better at helping people over the phone than I am at this point) and has helped hundreds of people over the past 17 months through her work at the Vegan Superhero Academy. When I delegate a call to another member of my team, I make it very clear to the person who scheduled the call, just like I did with Danielle. Danielle confirmed this by saying, “Thank you Anders!” The above screenshot shows her response.
For three, we are a completely customized program. Every detail of our coaching is tailored to each unique client. We have a team of a dozen coaches with a wide array of different backgrounds and areas of expertise. That’s why we ask people to bring their questions to our calls. That’s also why we schedule these conversations in the first place. We can’t give you a price until we know exactly what you need. What are your goals? How can we help you? What is your schedule, food/exercise preferences, training experience, etc? These are all questions that we need to understand to know what is right for each person.
Danielle did not hop on the call to have a conversation. She hopped on the call with the intention of being rude and demanding answers. As such, Elke had no opportunity to understand what she needed.
EXAMPLE SEVEN: You said “I wanted to switch over to and give air time with Miss USA and my platform. Big bummer.”
Danielle, this is not a big bummer. In fact, we obviously dodged a bullet by not working with you. I’m very proud of how my sister Elke showed up to your call, especially given how you treated her. You showed your true colors and I feel sorry for you. You owe our sister an apology that I know will never come.
To everyone reading this, I hope you enjoyed some popcorn while reading this craziness.
Now please go read a REAL review from a REAL client if you are truly interested in the Vegan Superhero Academy. We’d love to help you!
Either way, I hope you have an amazing rest of your day!
With gratitude,
Anders

Zero Customer Service
Organised initial phone call with Anders, who said he would talk with me himself. Different Timezone, but for some reason the only spot available was 4.30am. I was told if I missed that spot, there was no other ‘opportunity’, so I set my alarm a bit before then so I’d be awake- shift working single mum here, who struggles with sleep, but I did it, I was motivated. Got up, saw a text which came whilst I slept, informing me it wasn’t Anders, but someone else. Ok. Trust wavering a little bit, but on we go. When I asked about Anders, his colleague suggested that being Easter Monday, he probably ‘had something on’. Polite chat about time zones, to find its midday there, and yes, of course it could have been facilitated for a later call...really really unhappy about this....being Easter Monday, I really didn’t want to set my alarm for an early morning call.
If a business is essentially selling a personal service- which VSA is, and promises whatever, then they need to uphold that promise.
No customer service. No immediate response from those in charge. And you guys want me to spend how much a month with you??!!
Response from The Vegan Superhero AcademyApr 4, 2021
We care about our clients more than anything. I think that’s pretty evident given their reviews.
However, I’ll take this opportunity to demonstrate our true level of customer service. It is currently Easter Sunday here in the US and I am about to sit down for Easter dinner with my family, yet I’ve sent you multiple personal messages over the last hour and I’m taking the time to respond to your review now. You have received numerous, fast responses from me and Christa on Easter Sunday.
We scheduled a call with you to talk about your goals and see if this is the right program for you. I’m sorry this time didn’t work well for your schedule, but you were actually the one who suggested it.
Here’s a screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fUcBLLnPARXch66EFwVocwRKjbHCbi0N/view?usp=sharing
I wasn’t planning to take calls on Easter Sunday afternoon at all, but I wanted to help you so we worked out the time. If you needed a later call time, then we would have rescheduled for later this coming week, which would have been perfectly fine.
I understand that it was “mid-day” here in the US during your scheduled call time, but again, it’s Easter Sunday here and I blocked off the afternoon and evening to spend time with family.
As for the last-minute change in who would call you, I apologize. I should have realized that you wouldn’t get our message until right before our scheduled call. I asked my right-hand woman, Christa, who had all of your information and was very much looking forward to serving you, to take your call instead because I had a last-minute opportunity to see my grandmother before Easter dinner. I haven’t seen her in many months so I decided to take the opportunity. I knew that you would be well taken care of with Christa.
You spent a few minutes on the phone with Christa telling her how unhappy you were that you had to wake up so early for this call and then you hung up. Again, you suggested the time in the first place. Then to top it all off, you questioned whether I was actually with my grandmother, so I sent you a selfie of the two of us, and you left me on read.
I love helping people more than anything, but I expect mutual respect and kindness. I’m now going to sit down for Easter dinner and enjoy time with my family. I wish you all the best in your vegan fitness journey.
With gratitude,
Anders
