We decided to switch entire software systems to Therapy notes because therapynotes just seemed to have it all. They seem to be working hard to add features that are important to us (online form submission) and are quick to respond when we have a question. They seem to have all the right answers as well, and I have never been dissatisfied with troubleshooting answers. Great job Therapynotes, keep it up!

I LIKE THE INTERFACE AND THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE WITH QUESTIONS. I WOULD HAVE SUFFERED THROUGH A LESS ATTRACTIVE INTERFACE IF I HAD KNOWN THEY DO NOT HAVE AUTOMATIC POSTING OF ERAs. I WAS CONSIDERING MY "CLIENTS PLUS" BUT DIDN'T KNOW THAT TN DIDN'T HAVE IT. TN is more expensive, they don't have the better features! I am a little mad that they keep promising and don't follow through!! COME ON TN!!

ERA payment posting features were added shortly after this review was written. I guess that means we're perfect now? :)

Having my own private practice and being busy just seeing patients, I find therapy notes to be so easy to point, click and complete my notes. The e-billing works great and I no longer have to pay someone else to do my billing. I highly recommend this software to other therapists.

Therapy notes doesn't just deliver an easy way to document; it anticipates what may be needed, reminds you of reports that may need to be done, makes case management so much easier. It's always one step ahead of me & I try to stay one step ahead of the requirements of insurance wants, etc. I don't think I could go back to hand written documentation, tickler files, keeping up with reports; Therapy Notes has spoiled me & I love it!

The agency for which I work uses TherapyNotes for its client contact and record keeping. While I won’t speak for the agency as a whole, my observation is that the staff considers the application to be adequate but less than hoped for. My experience with TherapyNotes has been a bit more negative. Briefly, my disappointment is reflected in the following: First, it does not support couples or family counseling. This requires the clinician to document their couples/families and related sessions as if they are individuals. This works okay, but it’s really quite limited in terms of writing notes about these clients. Second, it forces a workflow that may not reflect the clinician’s preferred practice. In particular, a treatment plan with diagnosis is required before even the first progress note is written. It doesn’t support well the initial assessment phase of therapy. In fact, TherapyNotes has no explicit way of identify what phase of therapy is taking place. It imports the diagnosis into progress notes (a practice that some clinicians and supervisors have found to be unnecessary). At this time, the diagnosis must be manually re-entered for termination notes (why?) . Finally, the folks at TherapyNote have very little interest in soliciting feedback from customers. To my knowledge, they have not requested input / feedback from our agency, and when I have given them feedback, it typically dismissed or ignored by their support staff. There are better products in the market place.

We try to avoid getting defensive when we get the occasional negative review but I have to take issue with this comment: "Finally, the folks at TherapyNote have very little interest in soliciting feedback from customers."This couldn't be further from the truth. The fact that you completed this review is because we explicitly ask our customers to complete it, because we want customer feedback. We very much welcome feedback and it is the primary way in which we determine how to focus the time of our dedicated development team. I reviewed your tickets with your suggestions and we have responded to all of them thoroughly. I'm sorry we don't agree with all of your suggestions. You mentioned the termination note is not copying the diagnosis forward. It should be. If it's not working for you, please contact support.
