Since you've been using the diffuser for about five days, you're still very early in the expected adjustment period. Every pet responds differently—some show signs of improvement within days, while others may take a few weeks. In general: Weeks 1–2: Subtle calming signs Weeks 2–4: More noticeable improvements Weeks 4–12: Full calming effect develops To help ensure the diffuser is working properly, please make sure it stays plugged in continuously, is placed in an open area where your pet spends most of their time, and that the refill is inserted correctly and feels slightly warm. The feline facial pheromone (F3 analog) and the dog-appeasing pheromone (DAP) are different pheromones intended for different species. TheraPet offers separate pheromone products for cats and dogs, and we always want to ensure customers receive the product that's appropriate for their pet. Factors such as airflow, room temperature, and placement near vents, windows, or fans can sometimes cause the liquid to evaporate more quickly. We'd be happy to review your setup to see if any of these factors may have contributed. We also understand your disappointment in not seeing behavioral changes yet. While some pets respond quickly, others may take more time, especially in multi-pet households.
