Because of this, a calming diffuser may not resolve the behavior when anxiety isn’t the underlying cause. Behaviors such as indoor accidents, chewing, or excessive barking can also have other underlying causes, including medical concerns, training, environmental changes, or boredom, so a diffuser may not be effective on its own in every situation.
