My senior dogs are doing much better after eating the freeze dried food. Their coats look healthier and gained some healthy weight back. Their energy levels are higher also.

So far so good
So far so good. She's tried Farmer's Dog and Ollie. Stopped eating both. She currently trying The Pet's Table. in the beginning she gobbled everything and practically ate the plate too! I've noticed she does not like carrots and will walk away from a plate with even a hint of a carrot on it. I have to remove them prior to serving. No matter what recipe, I generally have a stack of uneaten carrots from each package. I wish they made them without carrots. I also found that if I go with a 4 day portion package, she's usually done with that recipe by the 4th serving. I've started breaking the recipe's in half and refreezing the other half. I split the last serving in half and mix with half of the next recipe. This generally keeps her interest. All of the fresh food brands are very messy. I used to make all my dogs food, (chicken, broccoli, sweet potato) That worked for years, but she eventually stopped eating it and I've been searching for the ideal healthy food that she'll be willing to eat. So far, this is the one. Fingers crossed she stays that way. I can only hope they come up with a less messy, carrot free option! Oh and I bought a bunch of the packs of air dried and I break pieces over every meal. She loves that and often eats those first.

**1 Star
**1 Star — Damaged product turned into an 8-message customer service nightmare**
I really wanted to like The Pets Table, and the food itself was not the reason I decided to leave.
I have had both of my large dogs on The Farmer’s Dog for the past couple of years. I started looking for another fresh dog food subscription because I had ongoing problems with their food bags leaking — NOT because of their customer service. In fact, The Farmer’s Dog has always provided me with excellent customer service when I have had an issue.
Unfortunately, my experience with The Pets Table has been the complete opposite.
My starter order arrived with a damaged fresh food carton that leaked all over the contents of the box. I also received a bag of expired treats. I contacted customer service and provided photographs and all of the requested information.
What should have been a simple damaged-product replacement turned into approximately **eight back-and-forth messages involving at least six different representatives**.
The most frustrating part was that I repeatedly received essentially the same generic, AI-generated response. Two of the responses were exactly the same, word for word. I would explain the situation again, provide information that was already in the conversation, and then receive another response asking for information or offering a solution that I had already explained would not solve the problem.
I eventually called customer service because I thought speaking with someone directly would be the quickest way to get this resolved. I was told they could help.
They ultimately could not.
I was initially offered a $10 credit or an additional box on a future order. Neither option replaced the food I was missing at that time. My subscription is a 50/50 combination of fresh cartons and air-dried food, and my dogs receive both at each meal. Because of the damaged carton, I was only short **three meals**.
I understand that The Pets Table says they cannot ship a single replacement carton because of the way their fulfillment system works. If that had been explained to me during the original exchange, I would have understood. What I don't understand is why it took this many messages and representatives to finally tell me that.
There were also reasonable alternatives they could have offered. For example, they could have offered enough of the air-dried food to cover the three meals I was short, or another comparable solution. Instead, after all of this, I was given a $20 credit toward a future order — essentially another version of a solution I had already explained would not address the immediate problem.
Another frustrating issue was that many of the emails came from a no-reply address, so I couldn't simply reply directly to the representative handling my case. That made an already frustrating process even more difficult.
I was eventually told that someone would personally take ownership of my case. After all of that, the final resolution was still a $20 future credit and no replacement food.
At that point, I decided to cancel my subscription.
For the price of a fresh dog food subscription, I expect better customer service. I understand that damaged shipments happen. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company handles the problem afterward.
My experience with The Farmer's Dog showed me that good customer service can make a customer want to stay with a company even when something goes wrong. My experience with The Pets Table has done the opposite.
The food wasn't what lost them my business. The customer service did.
If you are considering The Pets Table, I would encourage you to look beyond the product reviews and consider how the company handles problems when something goes wrong. My experience was extremely frustrating and took far more time and effort than it ever should have.
