While the bag was nice - not functional at all. And can't be returned
While the bag was nice, it is not functional at all. Not a crossbody bag (safety). No zip closure, so it is opened to all at all times (safety). Even with the very hard to open clasp inside to 'close' it, it is still wide open to everything/everyone (safety). This was also a gift for me. My husband ordered on Dec. 2, and we just received it yesterday. Late for Christmas. Even though the company is listed in New York, it was shipped from China (they tell you this in their 'shipped now' email), and that would explain the very lateness of arrival. Since it was a gift for me, I had to open to look at it. Saw all the safety concerns and decided this was not the bag for me. Went to their site to see if/how can be returned. According to their site, it cannot be opened to be returned. Since this was a gift, how can I not open it and look at it? Even if it wasn't a gift, if I bought it for myself, I would want to take it out of the package and actually look at it before deciding if I wanted it at all.

Dear Julie, Thank you for your detailed feedback, and we’re sorry to hear the bag did not meet your expectations. 1. Our bags are designed to be versatile and stylish, but we understand that safety features such as a zip closure and crossbody strap are important to you. We will share your feedback with our design team for future improvements. 2. Regarding shipping, we acknowledge the delays during the holiday season and apologize for any confusion about our production process. While our company is based in the U.S., our skilled artisans craft and ship our products from overseas to ensure quality. 3. We understand the frustration with our return policy. For gift items, opening the package is completely reasonable. Please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can assist you further with a resolution. Your feedback helps us grow, and we appreciate the opportunity to make this right. Best regards, Elaine M. Founder of TheNoteBags
