It took a while for the item to ship (6 years) but if finally came, and I love it!! Packaging is good, functionality is good, and it looks great!

I bought a custom designed Lampster lamp for my son. The theme was Captain America. The Lampster team was very helpful. The product was beautiful. I highly recommend to others.

First I must say the lamp is an awesome product. As much a sculpture as a light we love it. The reason for the middling score is due to the delay from the original preorder to delivery was over 4 years! I am aware the uptake was well beyond expectation which was both great and a major problem. The subsequent lack of proper updates and communication was also not good but improved a little as time went on, tip guys dont rely on generic statements if you want to maintain trust with the customer. That said he arrived and well worth the wait.

I waited ages for this product but I am happy I was patient and contacted support because after I paid shipping I got the lamp in one week! It was that easy! Glad I did. I love its style, the rusty look and the light is soo cool! I like that I can turn the head around, it is not limited to an angle. Love it!

So unhappy with this company like many others. Supported them on Kickstarter which has to be 3-4 years ago which included shipping to our country. Promised many times for the lamp to be shipped then ignored. Finally got an answer which was I had to pay an additional $65 (yes that's correct) to have my lamp shipped if I wanted it. Excuses were it was to expensive for them to honor the Kickstarter agreement and they didn't expect it to be so expensive. The lamp made it and its not worth it for the new "retail" price IMO plus shipping. If you are prepared to ask people to back you under an agreement, take their money and hold it for years, you should honor that agreement and not charge them a large amount for shipping.

This was originally a 3-star review. BUT, upon posting this I was notified by the lampster folks that my review wasn't good enough to get an extended warranty. Originally, they asked for "a review" in order to get this, but upon posting they said they would not offer me the warranty unless I changed my review. We're down to 2. ------------------------- The good: It's a great idea realized as a great looking, conversation starting lamp. This is the primary job of this thing I bought. The not-as-good: (1) The app doesn't work all that great, you sort of have to mess with it to get it to work at first (on my iphoneX). So, if you're looking forward to an app controlled lamp, there's better implementations than this one. (2) The lamp runs in a default of cold white. And to get it to the color you desire, you have to use the app. But, the lamp will reset itself to white sometimes when it comes on, especially if the lamp is being controlled on a switch too. Then ya gotta mess with the app in order to get your color back. Wish there were a "default" programmable color in the lamp chassis. (3) Don't get me started on the broken glass in the packaging! Very sharp broken glass. The ultimate goal of this lamp is to look cool and have character. To be interesting to look at. And to make light. It does all that very well. But, the app support (on iphone) could be SO MUCH BETTER.... It get's a solid 3. They'd get a 5 star rating for app improvements. For the folks on here who backed this on Kickstarter (which includes me), the 6 year wait was a bit much. I was not very happy with you as a company during that time. But I also think that you were caught completely off guard when you got $1.6 million in backing. Maybe you thought you'd make 100, but the demand caused by your popularity was too much for you. You should write us all a long mail documenting to the backers exactly what happened. That would be most appreciated. In summary: Great Looking Lamp!!! Sad App. Still annoyed by my Kickstarter experience with you, save your credibility show some transparency. --------------------- Final note: Stay away from these folks. It's a neat lamp, but a terribly run company. No transparency and nothing to make you believe they want you to be happy with your purchase. I am still waiting for someone at the company to address me for my review and the issues I bring up here.

We love our Lampster! Arrived as described with spare part and when I contacted customer services with a question they were very responsive and helpful. Every visitor to our house always comments on our Lampster and the light syncing to music function via the App is great for party nights! Would highly recommend.

This lamp is crap. Don’t buy. There are better ones available online that are cheaper and are better quality
