Edited Review. Confession: My original review was very positive, this was partly through the joy of finally receiving the lamp and also through encouragement by the company to give a 5 star review so that I might receive an extended warranty. upon reflection this was a bad thing for me to do. My lamp has also completely failed since writing the review, in fact I had hoped the mobile app would resolve my issues, it hasn't. The lamp will turn on, but the button on the top no longer responds. The mobile app will not connect to the lamp and when left on it simply stays on a low white setting then runs through a very annoying Cycle from dimmest to brightest and then back again without stopping after being on for a while. On top if it all I managed to snap the neck - my fult, but it didn't take much, I tried to move the head without loosening the neck bolt enough and it popped. In the end I'm very disappointed, i can't even just use the head as the light won't work with manual input and the bluetooth connection via the app is no good at all. Won't buy this or from this maker again sadly.

I finally got my lampster and it was worth the wait! It looks so cool on my desk and I am proud to have it. Yes, it took a while, but in my opinion everything was transparent and as customer you always knew why it took so long. The Lampster arrived with a broken glass, but the service of the team was great. I got two new glasses shipped to Germany in a couple of weeks. Thank you, guys! I can't figure out why anyone could give less than 5 stars. Only because of the long development-process? Only the result counts!

I got my Lampster today. And first off: It is well worth the wait!! The lamp looks great and is easy to set up. You can tell that it is crafted with care. It took a long time so I opted for the extra shipment fee and chose a blue version from stock. I had my share of Kick-starters and know the risks I take. I am an entrepreneur myself. The part that got me worried the most in this Kick-starter were all the backers that spreaded their gossip. I’v had contact with the Lampster team several times and every time I got a satisfying answer on my questions. So if you are waiting for yours; just hang in there!

Like many others I was disappointed with the delivery delays and lack of communication. I paid for the express delivery, even though I thought it rude to be asked to pay more money for something that had already been paid for. I believed this was the only way I would see the lamp. Upon delivery the glass lens was broken. I contacted Lampster, sent them a picture as requested and was told a replacement piece of glass would be sent shortly. That was in June 2018. I have sent dozens of messages via Kickstarter, Facebook Messenger and email. They typically respond to one in four messages saying they are sorry for the delay and the glass will be sent soon. I’ve been waiting almost a year now. How can you trust a company that has not been able to send a single piece glass. “Update as requested by Lampster” After much persistence and a negative review (which I believe prompted action) I have received the replacement glass for my lamp. As this whole ordeal took over a year to rectify my original one star rating still stands. Furthermore the offer from Lampster of a 50% discount on a future order.... With the level of customer service I have received there is no possible chance that I would deal with Lampster again. Also the fact that I would be able to place an order for another lamp when you still have not fulfilled thousands of original Kickstarter orders which are now three years overdue is offensive. What would it be? Would you take my money and I would wait years for another lamp until you fulfilled your obligation to your initial backers. Or would you send a lamp straight away and continue to screw over the backers that have supported you from the beginning.

The Lampster is great! It's a great piece to have in the home, the variations in lights via the app are wonderful and the little Lampster man is fun to have around! It's a magnificant piece and I loved it the moment it came out on Kickstarter. Why 4* only? After backing the Lampster, it took a looooong time (2+ yrs) to receive the first lamp and we're still waiting for number 2. I fully understand that mass-production is difficult because of it's variety of choices and Lampster has struggled to meet deadlines. Once I have got Lampster man 2 in the house, I'm sure the long wait will be easily forgotten and the two guys can finally be together. Can't wait!

Lampster customer service is excellent--one piece of glass was broken on arrival, but the team remedied the issue immediately. I've had some time to test the app--it works, but it's not quite as intuitive to set up and use as most apps. Finding and turning the Lampster "on" before being able to control the Lampster is an odd mechanism, but it's fine once you know how to use it. Colors of the lights and brightness are great. Definitely a statement piece, and the size really helps the Lampster stand out. Offering differing sizes would probably be a good long term move if successful.

I baked Lampster in 2015 and yeah something went wrong in delivery but in the end i got my pledge a way lately, but the wait was worth it. A stylish Lamp on my Desk with some nice features.

I backed the Lampster kickstarter project way back in 2015. It took them way longer than expected to deliver. But it was worth the wait. The Lampster works fine and it is the most stylish lamp in the house. Very happy with it!
