Gabriela addressed all of my needs in a professional way.
Gabriela was professional and understanding. She asked questions I expected from her and offered good solutions. She encouraged to me get back with her if I can supply the necessary cost to be a patient if Dr. Axe. She was excellent in her care and understanding and was not pushy.

Love this program!
I have loved this program and have been devouring it on a daily basis, as much I can! It has been a chore to have to travel a good bit to find fresh and appropriate foods and finding the time to keep up with calls, FB, etc., though I love all of that.
My biggest issue is the indebtedness I stepped in to and not being able to get some of the recommended supplements, etc. now that the program is over. I will be striving to get it paid for in two years, rather than 4, so certainly hope to do better after that with some of the products I'd love to purchase. I will be close to 79 at that point but plan on keeping on the very best I can. It is hard, however, to listen to the calls and see all of the things recommended and not be able to afford many of them due to fixed income.
My thanks to Tarah P., my practitioner, who has been right here for me all the time with helpful information and encouragement. She has been so sweet and prompt to answer my questions and get info I needed. Thanks to the other practitioners on the calls and on Facebook for your helpful information!
Would love to see the transcripts from the calls proofread and corrected, as it is apparently generated by AI who doesn't always hear things correctly. I've done a lot of medical transcription in my time and would love to have a job proofing something like that.
And, when we have to miss calls for various reasons, the info in the chats is not available, such as links to various things, so we do miss out on things that are not always clear in the transcripts. It's just not possible to be on all of the calls live, but I do my best to be there if at all possible. Have done a support ticket a couple of times and have gotten prompt replys to those! Thank you.
All in all, you all are doing a fantastic job. No huge wins for me, but was eating mostly healthy before the program. Still have some issues to get to and some digestive issues that have cropped up and hope I'll be able to remain in the Concierge program for additional info and encouragement since there's no one else to support me, family or friends, in this important health endeavor. Have learned so much more through this program than other studies I have done in the past.
Again, thank you! Keep up the good work and please try to make things affordable for those that have less. Love you all. Dr. Axe's faith in our God and clean-language podcasts are what brought me to this program.

Unethical practice
I purchased the Blood Test Week expecting to receive my results directly, as I have with other at home testing kits in the past. Instead, I was informed via text that my results could only be reviewed during a consultation, which was rescheduled twice.
When the Zoom consultation finally happened, I was surprised to learn it was being recorded; something I had never encountered before for a simple lab review. From the beginning, the interaction felt more like a sales call than a health consultation. Having over 20 years of experience in sales myself, I immediately recognized the sales pitch format. When I questioned why my results hadn’t simply been released through email or a portal, my concern was ignored and the sales script continued.
At that point, I clarified that I already work with a functional medicine doctor and had only ordered the test to review my markers independently. Only then did she agree to release my results and abruptly ended the call.
When I opened the results, I discovered that the age, and date of birth were not mine. I contacted her immediately, and while she sent another link, it didn’t work. I ultimately had to log into the portal myself to access my correct results.
I have no issue with high-ticket offers when they are transparent and ethical. I’ve been a longtime supporter of Dr. Axe, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Health is not an area where aggressive sales tactics, poor communication, or data errors are acceptable. Mixing up patient information and withholding results behind a sales process is both unethical and unacceptable.
Going forward, I will rely solely on my practitioner for testing and interpretation.
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeJan 31, 2026
Chiara,
We’re truly sorry that this interaction left you feeling frustrated and disappointed—especially as a longtime supporter of Dr. Axe and his work.
We’d like to offer some clarity around how our blood work consultations are structured.
Our blood work consultation is designed to provide lab testing within a guided, educational, and consultative experience. Results are intentionally reviewed during a consultation so individuals receive appropriate context, education, and next-step guidance—rather than a standalone release of data without support. This structure is communicated throughout the registration and pre-consult process. The consultation is not intended to function as an inexpensive pass-through for testing to external practitioners.
Regarding the consultation itself, calls are recorded for quality assurance and training purposes. This allows us to maintain consistent standards and continuously improve the experience we provide.
We are especially concerned to hear about the initial confusion involving an incorrect results link. While your correct results were made available, any moment of uncertainty related to personal health information is not acceptable. We take this feedback seriously and are reviewing internal safeguards to prevent this from happening in the future.
Our consultations are designed to be educational conversations—not clinical evaluations or aggressive sales interactions. While some individuals choose to continue into our programs, there is no obligation to do so, and we recognize that our approach may not be the right fit for everyone.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and regret that it did not meet your expectations. We wish you the very best as you continue your health journey with your practitioner.
With respect,
The Health Institute Team

An Excellent Program
I saw results in the first week of the program. My joint pain was greatly improved. The meals and supplements were very beneficial and made the program easy for me to continue.

My daughter needs the best version of me - worth the investment!
For me, at this point of my life, choosing to reset my body was critical. I am a single mom coming out of an abusive marriage, and I learned that my body internalized the trauma, and I exacerbated it with the inflammatory foods I was consuming to survive that season of my life. Before the program, my cells couldn’t absorb the healthy choices I was trying to make because they needed to be detoxed (I’m using layman’s terms). My priorities were to make long-term lifestyle changes (one tiny step at a time) and regulate my hormones - both of which I was able to do with the consistent coaching encouragement, methods, and amazing supplements! I built a wonderful connection with my Coach Madeleine who championed me and helped me choose myself when I was being discarded. This has been a holistic healing process for me, and thus worth the investment. I can’t afford to be in poor health, financially or otherwise! I’m passionate about extending the teachings and insights to those around me, especially my daughter, so the benefit / ROI continues.

$8000 is too expensive for no guarantees
For $27, the initial consult was money well spent. However, the catch is the cost for the 4 month program…way overpriced and the other reviewers here have consistently stated it wasn’t worth the money spent for the value they received. I like Mr. Axe’s platform and content but $8000 for four months is steep.

This program has every resource…
This program has every resource imaginable. I loved that they built on the basics by adding easy recipes that included shopping lists to make life easier! I also was grateful to have the spiritual aspect challenged. Having walked with the Lord since 1993, this program took my faith to an even higher plateau!
