Enrolled with the Hartford to insure my 2003 Dakota started out $65.00 a month using true Lane app well it quit working after a year.replaced my malfunctioning iPhone with a TCL 40 X 5 g installed the app on the new phone guess what app still won't work deleted it and reinstalled it.meanwhile my premium went up to $76.00 month talked to Hartford customer service was told a lie that all insurance companies are raising rates because of accidents.good joke today went to check February premium $84.00 checked to see if customer service fixed the app it was cancelled by the Hartford. Why does AARP endorse the Hartford they are clearly a JOKE OF AN EXCUSE FOR AN INSURANCE COMPANY AND SO IS THE TRUE LANE APP!!!! Will not recommend to my worst enemy!!!

I've been with this company for two years, pay in full once a year, high limits and zero tickets & accidents. Recently I was driving a friends truck and was struck from behind. A few days later I sought medical treatment for a sore neck. Basically not my fault, no claim as I was driving someone else's vehicle. My insurance went from $2500 to $4500. I can't imagine what my insurance would be if it was my fault. Another agent said I used my PIP that's why the increase occurred. SMH

This company is TERRIBLE!! Took 4 months to receive my short term disability claim funds. On top of that they said they over paid me and sent it to collections even though it was their mistake. HORRIBLE customer service from start to finish!!

wouldn't use this company. there are better ones out there.i I could say alot more but they would probably come after me with some more of their BS. Go somewhere else and definitely do your homework. Ditto on the J.C. review a few lines down more or less. No immediate notifications of insurance policy cancellation. just hung out to dry. thanks and have a nice day. i hope the hartford ...........................!!!! can get it together.This company is a bad joke...........It makes me wonder about the integrity of AARP. I would stay away from this group altogether. They prey upon the sympathies of the elderly in my opinion. just my opinion. see for yourself. Been with them 2 months, already they claim my payment failed on autopay on their website, Then I wait 45 mins to get to a rep who spoke over me, said i was wrong, when it clearly states they tried to run my card yesterday and it failed. I go in, run my card and it goes right through. Then she tells me we don't run cards on holidays. Then why is the website saying I am past due by one day. LOUSY LOUSY customer service and the rep spoke at a snails pace.Then the rep stops responding completely and i had to hang up.

I have two complaints. The first being, I tore my wrist at work 2 years ago. I called to let them know, because I wanted to go get my wrist x-rayed that same day. It took them 3-4 weeks to give me a claim number, urgent care wouldn’t help me at all in the meantime without it. My wrist sustained further damage going without care in the following weeks, and what may have been able to be fully healed had it been treated immediately, is now a life long disability. THANKS HARTFORD. The second complaint, is two years later. My last year of running my business, it was not as successful. I reported in my audit that I made a significantly smaller income for the year of 2023, and they’ve decided that I should pay MORE for the workers comp coverage for that year, on top of what I already paid, and despite the fact I didn’t even use my workers compensation at all that year. This company is just one big scam and I couldn’t be more unsatisfied with them. I used them for 5 years, and I say good riddance. I don’t recommend anyone going to them for their insurance needs

My Hartford AARP full coverage auto insurance went up for my upcoming policy renewal by $320.00 a year. They did the same thing last year and I just went with the price hike. NOT THIS TIME! — When I specifically ask what determined and what calculations were used to raise my premiums; I was told well, rates are all going up at ‘the Hartford’, just like with everything else. — I have an impeccable driving record for many decades now and only one speeding ticket in my entire life. Absolutely couldn’t or wouldn’t answer my questions. The agent/s was only pacifying and patronizing during the entire call/s. — Calling in and trying to get to the right department is nothing less than a nightmare. The waiting times were unrealistic. I was transferred over numerous times by the voice prompts to the wrong department and the list goes on in errors in how the voice prompts malfunctioned. — I cancelled my policy with this uncaring insurance company and immediately shopped around and got a new policy at ALLSTATE for even less than my current policy and a lot less (same full coverage), than the price hike in the upcoming policy renewal. — The agents at the Hartford couldn’t have cared less about losing me as a loyal, long-time customer. I guess they are in a great financial position to let loyal customers leave and find coverage elsewhere. — Profits over the customer - disgustingly sad. — My perception of what happened to me and my policy is what I consider price gouging, just because they can. — Again, COULD NOT / WOULD NOT give me a solid or definitive answer as to why my policy premiums were being increased. — Thanks Hartford.

Customer service is awful. Just signed up with about a week ago. I called to ask a question. They transferred me. The automated service offered to call me back. After being called back, I was told the place they transferred me to was wrong. Transferred again. Took forever to pick up. They are only available EST business hours, nothing at all other than that.
