I had a Hartford insurance for my home, and they are the worse insurance company to have insurance with them. I am writing this review because someone else won’t have to go through that I am going through. I am a senior and call them several times to cancel the insurance. Hartford requires full year payment to insure and when you cancel the policy, Hartford don’t like to refund the money. They find all kind of excuse and asking unreasonable number of documents. I sent them all the documents via mail and fax including new owner’s name and their closing agency company’s name & phone number. Still, they won’t refund the money.

I want to put 0 stars. #1...They are not there 24/7. They are there regular business hours. #2. Their agent hung up on me when I said I record all my calls. #3. You cannot do anything online if you have security or VPN on your device. They expect you to put all your personal numbers of banks etc. online with no privacy. #4. They haven't adjusted their phones to say they are closed. You could wait days online until they get there. It keeps saying "Someone will be with you shortly". That will not happen. I'm cancelling.

I purchased a car insurance policy from Hartford a couple of years ago. My first impression was this company far more better than other crooks in the market but my reviews changed opposite. After being a customer over 2 years without any accidents, violations or other, my liability insurance went up to over 3,100. Shortly, Hartford Insurance turned against me, became part of low class losers team. Hartford Insurance has no class in my eyes, I hope they go out of Business like all the other POS companies. I understand they all deal with Lexis Nexis, depend on their CLUE reports. If they want to stay in business, better Not to deal with Lexis Nexis POS company. They are criminal and need to go... I'm very Un-Happy with Hartford, looking for another company to get my policy from. This is an organized crime against humanity for money, MUST ! MUST ! MUST ! End...

the Hartford raised my rates $1,200 and will not give me a breakdown of the reason weather for accident< age. state increase where i live, age of cars no information.

Absolutely do not go with this company. They are a complete ripoff. They will squeeze every single dime that they can, and with no justification. Go with any other competitor.

I was originally quoted $2,800 for coverage. Without any tickets, accidents, or liabilities on my record, I expected consistency. Instead, after my quote and before I could purchase it demanded me to call their phone line, from there the price jumped to $3,800, and after seeking to a second "qualified insurance agent", it went up again to $4,500 per year. This kind of bait-and-switch feels deceptive and unfair. Customers deserve transparency and honesty, not shifting numbers once they’re already engaged. Their explanation was inflation how could inflation rise that quickly with three quotes the price keeps going up. I don't want Hartford ever contacted me again they are completely deceptive.

I was insured by them, bundled my vehicle and atv. Got a letter in the mail stating they are dropping me after three months because I don’t meet their criteria. I sent multiple pictures, and now they notice I have a tree next to my house and a small vine growing up my chimney. No letter to correct, just cancelled!!! I can’t believe they treat people, especially disabled Veterans this way!

OMG!I wasted 1 hour of my precious time for nothing, but being transferred 5 times to repeat my personal information to multiple so-called "AGENT" or "Partner." When I was told that she was going to transfer another agent for the fifth time, I said no, then she said goodbye! Such a horrible joke! Don't even think about calling this company! Go find another company!
