The worst customer service known to mankind. They deliberately try to extend and delay by not giving you full information. Every time I call they add a new final piece of information that is missing. I get zero updates when I resubmit and have to call for weeks to be told again something is missing or isn't right about what I submitted. They make is near impossible to get through to anyone who can do anything in any real capacity to help. They do not even inform properly. Honestly unbelievable, this is one of the worst if not the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any company in any service anywhere ever in my entire life. Horrendous, terrifying, appalling, and horrific come to mind. I do not typically ever write reviews, and if I do it is because it would be a positive one. Mark this as my first negative review I have ever posted as I have never been so compelled to share how absolutely terrible they have been with anyone who will listen. Everyone should know they will not give you the full story. Everyone of them will tell you something different. They will say it final, until its not. And you will have to hound all of those updates yourself, because they wont be letting you know. This is going on 6 months now with no end on sight.

Incredibly frustrating experience with Hartford. Commercial policy holder for six years. Attempted to add an E&O policy to my account. What an incredibly poor experience from Customer Service. Three calls over five days for a total of two hours; five emails to the Customer Service associates I worked with on the phone. Zero responses. I sent follow ups for assistance to the CustomerCare email address; zero response. I decided to cancel my business with them immediately and moved on to another company. STAY AWAY from The Hartford. Poor levels of service, pricing also not that great I discovered in my efforts to locate another insurance company. Try biBert (Berkshire Hathaway company), NEXT or Hiscox to start (in that order).

I am VERY UPSET with THE HARTFORD INSURANCE COMPANY. I have had my HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE POLICY with them for 17 years. I NEVER HAD ANY CLAIMS IN THOSE 17 YEARS, PAID MY BILL IN FULL ON A YEARLY BASIS AND WAS NEVER LATE ON MY PAYMENT. I get a "PHONE CALL" from a home inspector from AARP HARTFORD HOME INSURANCE 2 days before he was to come out an inspect my home. Hartford said they sent out a letter of his coming but I did not receive the letter until "3 days AFTER" THE INSPECTOR SHOWED UP. The inspector said everything seemed fine and 4 MONTHS AFTER THE INSPECTION I called to find out how much my auto insurance was going to be for the next year as well as how much my homeowners premium was going to be and THEY TOLD ME MY HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE WAS NOT GOING TO BE RENEWED. MInd you, they did not send me a notice, I called them and this was less than one month before my homeowners premium was due. They did not have a legitimate reason to cancel my homeowners insurance and THEY HANDLED IT VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with them. I really felt good having THE HARTFORD for my insurance company for 17 years because I thought of them as being a VERY REPUTABLE COMPANY AT ONE TIME. I do not recommend them at all and would be very cautious in considering to use them for your homeowners insurance. When I went over some of the information they promoted to get your business I found many areas of information that was false advertizing that they did not stand behind.

I talked with live agent and she asked me all information that I filled online and at the end she said I am not for workers compensation insurance because I don't have employees that is totally wrong and I explained to her I ha e one employees with me but she said she heard I don't have employees and she can not do anything and make changes. Finally she declined my quote request. She's name was Ally and she called me on April 30, 2026 around 9:30 AM. Wasting time with this kind of services and live unprofessional agent

Literally been with them 1 yr too LONG , The RATES THEY GIVE IS GOOD UNTIL U have to Renew, U find out they SYSTEM IS ALWAYS SLOW, CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE AND CANT FIX ANYTHING, and they CAUSE MY POLICY TO CANCEL WRONG BILLING, HORRIBLE TIME WASTED!!

I agreed to pay $140 a month and In March, they charged me $316. When I called they said they were going to charge me another $316 the next month. I told him I wanted to cancel. But they only gave me $160 back. I’ve been calling for over a month and I cannot get a supervisor to call me back.

This car insurance company is widely known for its deceptive practices and subpar customer service. Regrettably, a substantial portion of its clientele consists of retirees. Regrettably, I have engaged in numerous deceptive conversations with inconsistent information from various representatives since I selected this company as my current car insurance provider. This is one example of the many instances. The company offers a renewal policy and announced that the renewal would be made via Direct Pay from a checking account, with payments scheduled for six months. However, they demanded a total of four payments. When I inquired about this discrepancy, they stated that this is the company’s standard practice. Another example is when the company informed me in my account that if I elected to make payments via credit card, a fee in my state would be approximately 2.9%. This percentage is significantly inaccurate. When I calculated the payments for the six months, including the fees, while speaking with a representative on the phone, I discovered that the total fees percentage reached 12.16% for a monthly payment. Furthermore, when I inquired if I could pay the entire amount in one payment for the six months, the response was the same as for a four-payment arrangement via checking account. Therefore, my question is why…

The worst to have car insurance with they are expensive and they do not offer 55 discount as they say. Do your research before insuring with them. Their quote for one car $154 another company $100: the worst of the worst. And representative are not knowledgeable.
