I felt scammed
I thought this would be great but was so wrong. I have a really bad abcess tooth. It's the worst I've ever had and it's been blazing with pain for several weeks. First thing is they ask you questions which I got to tell them I had been on so many antibiotics for years and that i needed something strong because sometimes antibiotics didnt work well. They gave me clindamycin 300 mg, which I have been on many times already. I immediately told them I saw on the Mayo website when i was looking up and reminding myself how to take this that the milligrams go up to 450 and you can take it every 6 hours for 10 days instead of the every 8 hours for 7 days like they had prescribed for me. At this point i begged them to not change the milligrams but to atleast change it to every 6 hours for 10 days. They said no just take this and contact us if it doesnt help. So I did what they asked. Didnt miss a dose. I waited several days after I finished the antibiotics because I know they will keep working but the pain hadnt gone away completely. I emailed them and asked them to do something and explained that as I told them from the beginning, I needed more than most. I reminded them of everything that was said. I needed more antibiotics before this got worse. They let me know I would be charged AGAIN. To me this isnt fair. They could have and should have listened to me. Im thinkin that maybe that extra amount could have gotten this infection completely cleared up. If they arent going to listen, why ask a patient all those questions? Today the pain is worse. Still not horrible like it was but I guess it's working on getting there. I barely have food here so I dont have money to waste on incompetence. I'm so disappointed!
