Everything we teach is profoundly backed by evidence as well as the innate abilities of our incredible bodies.We also have a team of well versed practitioners, with a variety of backgrounds, who we work with and support the Bloom Method, in conjunction with well rounded coaches, in our specialized niche! Our goal is to support and educate ALL mothers, wherever they are in their journey, and we do our due diligence to further our education within the team to do just that. Hi Natasha, Thanks for sharing your feedback - We're sorry that you didn't feel safe lying on your back but this is a guideline that is very outdated and doesn't serve the majority of pregnant women. Most expecting women can be on their backs comfortably for 5-10 mins without any issue and none of our back lying exercises last more than 2 mins. Some of the classes that contain moves like this do offer a simple modification of propping yourself up with pillows if you are one of the small percentage of women who experiences discomfort lying on you back. Bloom is all about empowering women and teaching women to listen to their bodies is vital from our perspective. Its great to question things but we can promise that everything we teach out prenatal moms comes from a very expertise level and deep understanding of the pregnant body (and our babies). We'd be happy to answer any questions you have about this specific guideline if you want to email us :) We also have 3 BIPOC women on our team as coaches (Georgette for example is going live on our app next week with 30-40 min yoga classes). We work very hard at including as many BIPOC women in our branding, and on studio bloom but with our headquarters being in Boulder, Colorado it can be challenging at times. We hope you find what you need in another prenatal program but are always happy to support you if you wish you choose us again!

Hi Lina, it sounds like you dove into our advanced classes a little too early. Our classes are laid out in a beginner / intermediate / advanced format with our beginner classes having the heaviest level of cuing around the core and pelvic floor. The more advanced the class, the less likely it is to have our deep core + pelvic floor cues throughout. Our intention with this is to set our moms up for other fitness classes and apps that will not cue the core and pelvic floor, often times not offering cues of any kind. Both our guided programs and classes are set up to help you thrive inside Bloom as well as once you're ready to move away from Bloom. If you still have access to the app and would like advice on how to best use your remaining time with us to address your DR, please reach out. Our studio isn't designed to keep our moms at the beginner stage for very long which is why we offer both heavy cuing and classes with less cuing -- our desire is to set each of you up with tools that travel with you far beyond Bloom!
