Joseph
You made a believer out of a skeptic.
I am someone who generally takes an extremely long time to trust people. I also tend to attract all the people and organizations that always take advantage of me. So going into a very *SHORT* business relationship with any company is completely out of the norm for me and gives me extreme anxiety. I needed to raise some money really fast to invest in my future. So selling off my lifetime collection of gold jewelry became a necessity. Gold looks good on my dresser, but it doesn't do me any good for raising the money that I needed to raise. I went to a local company that buys gold and they offered me $3,100 for what I have. I felt that this was a lowball offer, and didn't take it. So I reached out to the internet and found Alloy. I was deeply impressed by all of the good reviews previously submitted on Trustpilot, and decided to take a chance with them. After some respectful communication by all the ladies there, (Melissa was the one that I worked with the most.) I decided to give them a try. They sent me a kit. I was going to send them only one or two pieces as a test, and not give them everything I had. But the overwhelming amount of good reviews from previous clients on Trustpilot made me feel okay to try them out in spite of my red flags going off. So I loaded the kit with everything, I dropped my kit off at FedEx, and realized that there is no going back. I must be an idiot. Well, I watched my future be shipped to Florida with no real assurance that the people receiving what I saved would be honorable.. Later, I received a call with an offer of just over $4,000 for my gold. I accepted the offer, but again, I thought they would never pay this in the end. I would get some excuse, and be given the middle finger, and I would have no recourse. I would lose, yet again. I provided my information for an ACH transfer. I was thinking that this should be an immediate thing like a Venmo transfer, and faster than cutting and waiting for a check. So I waited, and checked my bank account, and waited some more. I thought this was my answer, but I was assured that the transfer had been made and my bank had not processed the transfer yet. More waiting. Well, while at work, I had a chance to check again, and MUCH to my surprise, I found that the $4,000 had been deposited in my account!!! I then sent a text message acknowledging that the transfer was successful! Thank you for being an honorable company and NOT taking advantage of your clients that do business with you. Thank you for proving my red flags wrong all along the way. My successful future is assured, thanks to you.

Wow Joseph thank you for sharing your story in such an open and honest way. We know how hard it can be to put trust in a company, especially when it involves something as personal and valuable as a lifetime collection of jewelry. It means so much to us that you took that leap of faith with Alloy. We are thrilled that Melissa and the team were able to help turn your skepticism into confidence, and even more thrilled that we could deliver an offer that made a real difference for you. Hearing that we were able to play a small role in helping you invest in your future is exactly why we do what we do. Thank you for giving us the chance to earn your trust. We are honored to have been part of your journey, and we are cheering for everything your future holds.
