What's happened to Tesco? Christmas present gone missing!
I was one of those who used to rave about how good tesco customer service was but wow what's happened to them these days. They use to go above and beyond to get things sorted. Not these days. My story. My wife saw a babyliss curler she wanted for Christmas, so my mum and nan said they'd get it for her. There was a notice saying there was a delay on orders and delivery will take longer than expected. The curler was part of the black Friday deals and was also on offer at many other places at the same price. It was half price at £60. So we bought it and money came out instantly. We got confirmation via email on a click and collect date, so we attend on that date only to be told it's not in store and we shouldn't have come in. Even though the email stated this. So we spoke to the twitter team who said the item was definitely in at the horwich store. So we went back a few days later again to be told the item isn't in store. So I stayed there and refused to move until it was sorted out. Tesco horwich said the curlers had been signed in. Meaning they was in store but gone missing. So back and forth with the twitter team who somehow think it's gone to a different store and been returned back to there warehouse now and a refund issued. Which from reading reviews here seems to be a common thing happening. My offer from tesco now is to wait and see if it ever comes back in stock and they will honour the original price paid. But there is no guarantee it will ever come back in stock. So our only other option than my wife never getting it, is now to pay the full price which is another £60 more. This is through no fault of our own. So I'd recommend buyer beware as it seems tesco customer service has slipped lots in recent times which is a shame as they used to be amazing. They offered no compensation for inconvenience and will avoid them in the future for everything.
