Bought a computer using tesco direct over the phone very helpful and polite service 4 hours later I got a call from from a witheld number from someone claiming to be from a tescos subcontractor doing a security check he asked me about the phone I bought I said I hadn't bought a phone he then said I must have ordered my computer over an instore phone which I hadn't he then asked me some ID questions without giving his name he said he would cancel my order if I didn't tell him so I told him some reluctantly I told him I wasn't getting at him but I found the nature of the call really concerning and could he refer me to something that said tescos make these kind of calls or could I speak to a manager no manager was available he wouldn't refer me to anything and said I was getting at him I asked for a number I could use to verify him he gave me one that I googled which Google came up with nothing related to tescos he said he would put my order through concerned I phoned tescos customer services who could see no reason for the call being made and had no record of it so I rang the number the chap had given me and explained my concern the man answering took my details then asked for my card details again without giving his name I refused explaining I had already passed all the checks why did he need this he said if I didn't give this to him he would cancel my order I said this all seemed highly suspicious and in my shoes would he give these details out he then cancelled my order . I phoned customer services who confirmed the order had been cancelled but couldn't tell me if my money had been taken or if so when I would get it back so I complained the person I spoke to apologised and said that the people in business support don't have much contact with customers and that they would phone someone in finance and get back to me I didn't hear anything so phoned again and got put through to someone who said they were the only person there and didn't know how to access the information someone would phone me within 24 hours

Received faulty product. Badly packaged and mishandled. Took over a week for collection then advised replacement would be 10 days. They insisted on receiving original item before issuing replacement. Very elongated process The third party was the children's furniture company. Disgraceful customer service.

I have ordered Braun Hair Dryer on tesco direct. Paid extra for delivery next day. When I got it I have found that it was faulty. When reported to tesco direct customer care they suggested some other hair dryer and asked me to call again to process the request. Gave me a lot of wrong information. Gave me time to call and name to speak with associate however when called at the given time another associate said he can not process it and I will have to wait for another day. Absolutely rubbish customer service. People do not know their own process and promise customers and do not deliver it. Have lost half day of my work to deal with these people, lost a lot of time energy and efforts and ultimately got "nothing". When I said I want to make complaint, they said we will deal with it internally and cant give me any complaint reference and because its an internal investigation I wont be notified about it either. No wonder why Amazon is taking over entire online market.

I ordered a cross trainer and chose my delivery day. I waited in all day and changed all my plans and it never arrived. When I contacted them ,they apologised and said it was not like their normal service. Therefore, I re-arranged for the cross trainer to be send out again. I was told that the courier would contact me with delivery time and again waited in all day. On my second day of waiting the item did not come AGAIN and nobody replied to my email. Finally, today after various phone calls and emails, I got a call saying that they were not able to send the product and a refund would be given. What? I waited in from 7 to 7 two full days and they did not even have the product? I did not want a refund, I wanted the item I paid for and waited on. They never even offered an equivalent. Terrible company and poor customer service. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. Totally not what you would expect from a large company like this.

Found a digital camera that was £20 cheaper than anywhere else on Tesco Direct. Great, I bookmarked the page and planned on ordering it later on that day. Unfortunately, by the time I got round to ordering it, it had become out of stock. My fault, so I signed up for email alerts for when this product will come back in stock. Sounded great, but I got an email a few days later, telling me they had cancelled email alerts as they didn't know whether this item would ever be back in stock. Okay, fine, however another few days later I noticed that the camera had become back in stock, so without hesitation I ordered it straightaway. I got an email confirmation, they took my money, and gave me a delivery estimate. 5 days had passed and still the camera still hadn't been dispatched and the next day I received an email telling me my order had been cancelled, without any specific reason. Despite the cancellation, the camera is still listed on the Tesco Direct website as available, but with limited stock. They clearly haven't got a clue whether items are in stock or not, so be warned.

Everything is fine until the item you purchase develops a fault and then Tesco just don't want to know... "...get in touch with the manufacturer.." I hate it when a retailers response to a problem is this, it's so not good customer service! I'll stick to Amazon from now on, saving a couple of quid every now and then by using Tesco on the very odd occasion that they are cheaper is just not worth it in the long run!

If I could give minus I would! joke. I paid over a £100 for a 3ds paid 6 pounds for delivery on Wednesday. I stayed of work waited from 7am to 7 pm nothing. They dont even know where my package is. Complete and utter disgrace all im getting back is a 6 pound delivery fee. Avoid at all costs!!! Stick with Amazon

They were unable to organise delivery to me correctly. I paid extra for Saturday delivery and they have attempted delivery at the wrong address when it is clearly shown and correct on the order. I have contacted them about going to the wrong address even when the correct address is on the package and still, they have somehow managed to screw that up, after 2 so-called delivery attempts to me where I even took time off work to stay at home for it. Now they have left the parcel at a local shop that is actually further away than the local tesco store which is bewildering to me as a solution to the problem. And the icing on the cake... they have left the parcel collection card at whatever other address they were trying to deliver to so it's not like I can collect it easily from the shop. Plus, the shop they have sent it to is closed today. Great job Tesco, you have managed to screw up on the simplest of tasks... reading the address on the order! It's not difficult, Asda, Amazon, eBay, USC, Argos and other retailers have all managed to deliver to me without a single issue.
