Waited in all day for parcel that didn't arrive after receiving an email the day before confirming it would be delivered when I called the next morning I was told it was locked in the trailer for the weekend and they would try and deliver it Monday. I requested the items were sent back to tesco instead.

I just wanted to express how bad the …TescoDirect actually is
I just wanted to express how bad the delivery packaging for Tesco direct actually is!
I have just received a birthday present for my 4 year old daughters upcoming birthday and it arrived in the original box with no packaging only the label stuck on the box, she was at home so answered the door with me and saw the item a dolls pram so the gift was ruined!!!
I wanted to warn people with pre school children to be aware of this bad practice especially with Christmas coming up!!!
On telephoning Tesco they were not interested with my complaint!!!

Computer says "no", staff fail to keep promises
I placed an order for the SNES classic console in early July. Unfortunately in late August I had to move house unexpectedly. I logged into my Tesco account and attempted to change the delivery address, this was not possible, despite the console not being released until a month later on 29th September. I called Tesco customer Services and was told that it was impossible to change the address, I was offered a cancellation, however as the item is limited edition and already commands over 100% markup on the secondary market I was not prepared to do this.
Frustrated that a simple change of address is seemingly impossible, a classic case of ‘computer says no’, I tweeted and e mailed Tesco asking for the address change to be made. I was reassured repeatedly in the responses I received that if I called when the Tesco notification of dispatch came through the address could be changed in transit. The promises reassured me that I would receive the item at my new address.
On September 27th I telephoned Tesco in anticipation of the release date/dispatch notification. I spoke to a chap in the call centre who was really helpful. He told me that the likely courier was Royal Mail and that he understood the item and the difficulty in obtaining one. He stated that he would track the parcel and ensure that it came to my new address. He told me he was working all week and wouldn’t let the parcel go without changing the address. He promised me that he would call me to confirm that this would happen. I have postal redirect set up so being told that the courier being Royal Mail was reassuring as even if the parcel address had not been changed, it would have redirected to me anyway.
On September 28th I had had no update but I had received a dispatch notice from Tesco, I called back and spoke to a lady who said that the courier was UK Mail, not Royal Mail, she also advised that she would call the courier, arrange for delivery to my new address and call me back promptly if there were any issues with this. This person did not call me back.
On September 29th I received an email from DPD (who are neither Royal mail nor UK Mail) advising me that they had my parcel, I selected the ship to shop option to ensure my parcel went to a location where I could collect it. I received notification that my parcel would be delivered to the pickup shop on Saturday 30th September. Later that day I received a photograph of the letterbox at my old address from DPD who had just tried to deliver to my old address. I called DPD who promised delivery on Saturday as planned to the pickup shop. This did not happen. I telephoned on Saturday and was told it would be delivered on Monday 2nd October to the DPD pickup shop, this did not happen. On Tuesday 3rd October after chasing DPD in the morning my parcel was finally delivered to the pickup shop.
To summarise,
• Despite knowing a month in advance that my address had changed the simple customer requirement to change that delivery address could not be met.
• Tesco call centre staff consistently make promises they don’t keep, and provide information that is inaccurate.
• DPD are unable to follow their own processes, and as a result of mismanagement from Tesco, and ignoring my online requests and phone calls before Tuesday they only attempted to deliver the parcel to the one place I DIDN’T want it to go.
I found their processes and system to be insufficient to meet modern consumer needs, I found the staff to be pleasant for the duration of the call but unable to perform their role competently or truthfully and as a first time Tesco Direct customer this is an experience that means I will not use their service again.
I complained to Tesco via facebook and they apologised but their tone was that they considered the matter closed as I had received my parcel. I asked if this was really the extent of their response, they replied that my feedback had been "documented"
I would rate this experience as poor, the online marketplace is unforgiving and this sort of amateur operation will not provide a solid platform for their business.

Click and collect in 3 days , not next day as stated
Most items from their web site can be ordered for collect in store the next day.
I reckon 1 in 10 of my orders is ready for collection within 24 hours of ordering. Generally take 3 days to get to a store. Customer service blame Yodel. So in short no one cares.
Asda and other supermarkets can deliver into store every time when they state.

Very poor after sales service
Very poor after sales service. Beware when buying from them. Ordered a dyson from the website and whilst it said 'buy direct from Tesco' the receipt said Hughes electrical. No issue until it broke after on 20 days of ownership. I rang and they first told me to speak to dyson to which I refused as it was in 30days they then said I needed to take it back to Hughes and whilst they confirmed it said 'buy from Tesco' the receipt said Hughes. I said it was too late to inform me after I had purchased! But they were unwilling offer any after sales support. Leaving me very disgruntled with Tesco and whilst my lack of future business won't affect the company I feel their 'every little helps' Clearly is not a company tag line you can rely on anymore.

Appalling delivery service
Ordered 2 items over 2 weeks ago on 2-5 day delivery, told it would be delivered on specific day for it not to show up , then given another day so waited in again for a no show so waited in next day thinking it must be arriving then for it not to show up. customers service were very polite but could not give me any information as it was a third party courier and their tracking information just say "we do not have tracking information". and it is now weekend so they are closed. why do they use companies like this will never order from them again,

Not the best tesco cust service …
Not the best tesco cust service experience at the counter and probably the last time I ever shop at tesco. The bundle contains the worst games . I Contacted customer care over the phone and requested a swap to the other bundle fifa 18. Went to the big store as confirmed over the phone and was completely declined the swap to a different bundle. Nowhere in your cancellation policy is written about opened items. You only mention worn clothing and hygiene. It's a ps4 and the games can be repacked for resale and I was told that I couldn't swap because the games are out of their plastic. The order was placed on 28th August and I am still within my right to cancel of 28 days as a consumer but was refused to do so . Well you have definitelly lost a customer . My brother bought a flat screen Sony from tescorts direct and a hp laptop few years ago and after this experience we simply decided not to shop at tesco anymore. This same review will be posted on trust pilot.

Never preorder games from tescos
Never preorder games from tescos as you will not receive them on release day. I ordered a game due for release on Friday and was assured that for preorder they send out all parcels the day before release via first class post. But after not receiving it on release day and two calls to customer service it seems the game was sent out on the release day via second class post and won't arrive until Tuesday. This is unacceptable as now I do not have a present for my nephew's birthday party tomorrow and have to go out and buy a copy today. What is the point of preorder if you don't get it on the release day?
