Advertised item not in stock, although i was led to believe i can collect from my local store the very next day. Calling them for the last couple of days and still no sign of the item. Will never order from them again.

Ordered a bike for my three year old online from Tesco Direct. Presented with multiple options of supplier and chose Tesco as I could use my club card vouchers and select next day/selected day delivery. Added two other items and checked out choosing 22nd December for delivery. No problem. Then I receive confirmatory email and the order has split in two. The bike (the main item) now scheduled for delivery 25th January!!!!! Cue serial calls back and forth to Tesco customer service. First call cannot explain other than they get bike from a supplier and there are ‘supply problems’. Funny nothing was mentioned at time of ordering. Ironically another supplier of the said item was cheaper and could deliver next week Thursday. Can I swap to this supplier? No cannot do that. Ok can you refund the bike and I’ll reorder with this supplier and/or go elsewhere. Well yes you can but it’ll take 5 working days, although the order is not even processed yet, and we will refund points to your clubcard so you can get vouchers back in February or so. Several calls later very apologetic, suppliers closed, cannot get information. Don’t know why the website still shows can get bike standard delivery from Tesco in 2-5 days. Absolutely disgusted. Total misrepresentation on the website stating product comes from Tesco and will be with you in 2-5 working days (even now) when in actual fact they are sourcing it elsewhere, may never have it and cannot contact suppliers. Also stating false delivery time scales pre order confirmation. How about try not falsely advertising items you do not have in stock and cannot fulfill. At least Amazon make it clear what comes from other suppliers and if they are merely ‘fulfilling’ an order on behalf of someone else. Loved the apologies but that doesn’t fix it for my three year old (or my purse as I had to go buy something else for him so he had a gift).

I'm currently shocked about the service I'm receving from Tesco Direct, I placed a order before 17:00 Sunday for a Xbox X Bundle for my Childs birthday which is tomorrow, this order said when placed it will be ready for collection today at 15:00, So today I have gone in Tesco and spent £207.27 on groceries using my Tesco Pay + App which is linked to my Tesco Credit Card after using my fuel to drive to the superstore which I brought from Tesco I finally finish my shop and go to Tesco Direct Department to be told my order is not here and I'm not sure when it will get here. The Manager who was serving me told me that in the small print that busy times items may be late, upon checking your website I can not see anything stating this, I then asked when will I get my order and to be told I don't know the last customer I tried to help I spent 20mins on the phone trying to get hold of the correct department. Tesco I'm a loyal customer and have been for many years I drive past a number of Superstores to shop with you but today I feel totally let down what do I tell my child on his birthday when he wakes up and does not have his present, I could have ordered this on Amazon or any other highstreet electrical store but I chose to use Tesco, I have now been told if I want a refund I would have to wait 5 days........ This is not good enough and I would like someone to tell me when am I going to receive my Childs birthday present so I can make a decision if I'm to wait 5 days for a refund and order from someone else as I can't even reorder at this point as I'm £469 short as I have already paid you this money. Please can someone help me !!!!

Ordered a video game on the 9th of December and was told delivery would be by the 11th as of the 18th of December the item status was "Being Processed" so I contacted Tesco-direct to ask why it hadn't been dispatched, only to be told: "We are really sorry to have to let you know that your Tesco Direct order 4PKWBXW7C was cancelled due to a technical issue that affected our stock availability. We know how frustrating this must be and we're sorry to have let you down. It is not the level of service we aim to provide. You can set up a stock alert on our website to be notified by email when this item is available again." Tescodirect are happy to still sell the game through a partner at a more expensive price, And I'm sure they will be happy to email me and tell me the game is back in stock for 3 times the offer price I paid. After waiting 9 days to find out they won't be sending me my item I now have to wait another 5 days for my refund, they should change their name to Tescodefect. or maybe Tescodeceit as they sell you items they then claim not to have.

Purchased an Acer computer from Tesco Direct online. Have a software issue. Issue was reported within the warranty period. Technical support at Tesco informed me that they were not responsible for software issues. No support. No more trade with Tesco.

Ordered sofas for delivery Sat 8th Dec - did not turn up. They rearranged for Mon 10th Dec, again did not turn up. Rearranged for Thurs 13th Dec, guess what no show again. Rearranged for Sat 16th Dec, no show again despite another whole day wasted waiting for them. Never ever again am I using Tesco Direct. The problem is their subcontracted courier XPO Logistics who don't really care and fob you off with excuses but don't bother to deliver. Really poor customer service.

Absolutely appalling service from Tesco Direct! I ordered 2 sofa's, one of which was to be delivered on a Saturday between 7am - 7pm, had a phone call the night before confirming that I would get a phone call an hour before the sofa was due to arrive the next day which I confirmed was still ok. I then get a phone call off customer services to say the sofa would now not be delivered to me on the agreed day to which they had no reason for. A week past and I still had no idea where my sofa was. After multiple phone calls and speaking to multiple different people at customer service and a lot of messing around, all I was told was they had no idea where the sofa was or what was going on and they didn't know why I didn't have a sofa. Multiple people telling me they would phone back with answers which was never received and then they lied about trying to ring me and said my phone was turned off that's why they couldn't get through! I tried to complain to the complaints department to get no reply! I decided to cancel the order and they couldn't even get that right, they only cancelled half of the order and left the other sofa on so I had to sort that out with more phone calls. I submitted a bad review on the Tesco direct website on the sofa I'd ordered to warn others of the horrendous service only for it to be removed by Tesco. Absolutely ridiculous service and an absolute joke and a huge waste of my time with now no sofa. Absolutely appalling and I will never order anything from Tesco ever again. Furious with how they have treated me and it seems to me they are advertising things and selling products that they clearly do not have to deliver to people!

Took a toy that my wife bought on Tesco online back to store today because my mother had already bought it for my daughter for Xmas. When they refunded it the refund amount was zero. Turns out it was bought as a 3 for the price of two deal. So I said no worries I'll keep it and get my mum to return the other one but customers services said they couldn't give it back because it had been refunded! Now I'm £60 out of pocket! Absolutely outrageous behaviour. I'll stick to Amazon in future.
