Removing art makes it a boring phone
Though I understand the vision and goal for this device is to minimize doom scrolling, I think some decisions are a bit extreme. Spotify not having any images or album covers make the app a lot harder to navigate and recognize. I don't understand how having album covers equate to more doom scrolling. If I would've known in advance that some applications are altered I wouldn't have switched over. I got the wise phone 2 to not have access to social media, not to remove little things I enjoy like art and visuals. I refrained myself from purchasing the lite phone because of how bland and boring it looked, when I saw that the wise phone still permitted certain apps and functions I jumped on it 2 days after discovering it, I wish I would've done more research.

Hey Luis, We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We totally understand that visuals like album covers can enhance the music experience, and we didn’t make this decision lightly. Our goal is to create a phone that minimizes distractions and promotes intentionality, and in doing so, we’ve chosen to remove visual elements that could potentially encourage endless browsing or passive engagement. Additionally, we wanted to ensure that explicit artwork wouldn’t make its way onto Wisephone as part of our commitment to providing a clean and safe experience for all users. That said, we know everyone’s ideal balance of health and usability is different, and we’re always listening to feedback like yours as we continue refining Wisephone’s experience. We’re sorry that this aspect of the phone wasn’t what you expected, and we truly appreciate you giving it a try. If there’s anything we can do to make your experience better, feel free to reach out! 🧡
