It is impossible to reach a live agent. I have been trying to do so for 3 days consistently. After 90 minutes the chat bot says "connecting you to a live agent" immediatl then

2/5 mainly because their AI bot is often useless; perhaps the lesson is to learn a new form during normal business hours, when customer support is available. Even then, CS responds not in real time, but with an answer to a question within 15 minutes by email. Weekend response is much slower and less in depth. Their advertised prices seem to be for bulk type of numbers. Their payment system is weird also. I could not pay directly, but had to first preload their wallet and then repeat all the steps again to make the final payment. It was glitchy all weekend. Also, they need to have a FAQ question section. Their AI bot is probably new; it even admitted it made a mistake a few times. If they can actually have it “see” what is on the screen, it would be 500 percent more useful.

Update to previous rating. 5 out of 10 of my contractors had a hard time getting their 1099-NEC. A few of them deleted the original emails since they look like spam. Customer service was ok, not great. They got exasperated with me. It would be helpful to talk with a person. Email is cumbersome. We still have one contractor who needs to get their form - they have the state form but can't get the federal. We worked on it all day Tuesday. They are sick now, so hopefully when they are better they can get their form.

I've used tax1099.com for 4 years now and little by little they removed the human support. It is vital to be able to reach a person because of the integration with QBDT. There is no phone support. Emails, which was one of two ways to reach them went undelivered to their support@ address. Showed up 3 or 4 days later. And chat was a joke. They cut and paste knowledge base articles for you to figure it out. And stop responding when they don't what else to do. Do not use them unless they change back to human support.

My mistake in account setup locked me out of my account. I have been trying to get customer support for week and have only received canned response via email to a help link that did not work (Was not relevant to my issue so it would not have mattered anyway if it had worked.) If you file a few 1099s every year your time would be better spent registering on the IRS FIRE system to file your 1099s directly with the IRS. Its free, the support is good, and it is way more secure than this service. If this company expects to maintain this service as a viable business it would serve them well to tighten security and invest in some decent customer support in January/February of every year when people need it the most.

Have used them for at least the last 5 years. Customer service is trash now. Simple question that was not answerable in the FAQ's could have been addressed right away and saved me hours of manual entry this year but their continued canned responses and finally when I got a real human their answer was literally "oh, its too late now." You will have to do it manually. Welp if you could have provided the customer service I needed it wouldn't have been "too late"

Customer Service is not great. Chat only, no phone support starting with 2019 filing. Took them two hours on chat to finally get resolution to a simple TIN issue.
