Great software, but needs some improvement
The software is great but needs some improvement. We enjoyed being able to manage our workflow through the various levels of review. This is a great feature! With clients who file various types of 1099s (Misc, NEC etc.), the summary page combines all types of 1099s on the 1096. We would have to download the pdfs separately to ensure we sent the clients the correct 1096 info. Another challenge with the software is that if you submit a 1099 and have to make corrections before the submission date, the program still mails out the incorrect 1099. The system should know to override the forms and mail out the correct 1099 versus the original data. We had to mail out new 1099s to our clients which in turn cost us more money on postage etc.
