Not as advertised.
I want to take responsibility for putting myself in the position to need Tax Tiger, I had contacted two other companies and was overwhelmed with the upfront money, My experience was frustrating from the get go. My social security was garnished after being assured it would not be, I contacted my assigned attorney immediately and was assured the garnishment would stop and it did not. Repeatedly I was told the IRS was slow and behind , not so slow that they successfully garnished my wages. Also I was under the mistaken impression that Tax Tiger would aggressively negotiate penalty and late payment, They did not! This led to increased not decreased money owed, Finally a payment arrangement was made that I agreed to and after my down payment the IRS kept my 2020 refund. I was drawn to Tax Tiger after hearing the founder and CEO on Fox news. I don't doubt there are Christians in the organization but my experience was disappointing and at times untruthful. Several times I was told one thing only to learn what I had been told was not the case, I know many others had good experiences, I'm just letting you know document every conversation, copy other contacts from Tax Tiger. I was told the attorney that handled my case was "the best", if true the bar is pretty low. Finally, three years of returns were done by Tax Tiger and all three were corrected by IRS audit and hundreds of dollars in interest and penalties added. Bottom line I'm back in good graces with IRS but I would recommend that if you choose Tax Tiger be diligent in holding them accountable, Respectfully, Tom and Eileen LaFaire

There were a number of services provided for you over the course of about 14 months, and these services needed to be completed in a specific order to arrive at the resolution we did. You first hired Tax Tiger to research your account with the IRS, you then hired us to prepare the past due tax returns and release a wage garnishment, all of which we did, and then you hired us to establish a repayment arrangement with the IRS, which we did. With that said, I completely understand your complaint that this took way too long, and I agree with you. When the IRS effectively shut down in late March to early April, it caused an enormous backlog of processing returns, especially paper filed past due returns, not to mention basic communication with revenue agents, etc. A lot of time and effort went into your case without much understanding on your part, of the issues related to COVID and work shut downs at various government agencies, as well as adaptations that Tax Tiger had to make. Through all of this, we stayed in constant communication with you as to the status of your case and resolved each aspect. Nobody was ever untruthful at any point with you, but if you are speaking about abating your penalties, we submitted that request and reasoning as part of our service, and as we state to all clients, the acceptance of an abatement of penalties is always at the discretion of the IRS and your reason for receiving the penalty, and/or any previous past violations. Did it lead to an increase in money owed, sure, that is because you filed three (balance due) returns that the IRS did not even have yet, of course you owed more money along with interest and penalties. You mentioned the IRS kept your refund, this was also explained to you in the notes we have, and to reiterate, if you owe the IRS at all, they will NOT return any overpayments to you without first applying them to balances owed. Interesting that you would blame the people resolving your issues for the tax consequences of YOUR taxes that you filed late. Either way, we are sorry that you fail to see the work we did, the value it produced, or the state of government agencies under COVID work restrictions and shut downs. We wish you well and are glad that you are now in good graces with the IRS moving forward, this is exactly where we want you to be, along with all of our other clients.
