Tastyworks is by far the best trading platform for anyone, novice or pro. I've been with them since their inception. Also, and of great importance these days, is their support team. It is the most knowledgeable in the business. My question and concerns are answered quickly.

They're okay
I've been with Tastyworks for about a year now as I've had serious technical issues with Interactive brokers before that. I went to them because they seem to be the only broker that offers free stock trading to Europeans as well and the option commissions are the lowest in the market.
Their platform works alright to excecute orders with. A bit too many clicks in my opinion to adjust an order and basic order types, but it does the trick and the fills have always been good. That said, this is not a platform to use for charting, you really need something else for that or you will be extremely limited.
Their customer service is generally fine and friendly, just a few times when I emailed them about a technical issues that I was supposed to get compensated for, I just got ignored 3 times in a row.
Also with transferring money to my bank account in Europe I never had any problems at all.
Recently they have been having some technical issues sporadically though. The order would not fill for example when it should be and then all the sudden sometimes many minutes later or 15 seconds later for example the order gets filled all the sudden retroactively. Meaning that if the order went against you, you have no chance to get out, and if you're unlucky and walked away from your pc because the order didn't seem to be working anymore, you could login next time and have a nasty surprise.
I scalp trade so every second counts and this week one order got filled 15 seconds after it should've and at that point I was down $100. I told them and they checked it with their routing partner but say there is no issue. So now I will have to record my screen every day the whole day so I can prove these things or they will just not acknowledge it.
A more persistent technical issue I've been having over a year is that occasionally when I submit an order, I get the error message "cannot submit order", with no clear reason given. I emailed about it back and forth for dozens of times, but they are not able to find the culprit no matter what, even though this error code that's given is generated by their own system, meaning that at least the system identifies it as something. We've troubleshooted every possible thing we could think of but nothing works so sometimes when I'm unlucky and I get this error when I need to get out of a trade quickly, I need to cancel it and submit another one which takes precious time.
All in all they are okay as a broker and cheap, but if I were an American, I would've probably chosen another broker that has faster execution.

Positives:
Positives:
1. No commission.
2. Customers service have always answered me quickly.
3. Desktop app platform is decent.
4. They have every stock I've thrown at it.
5. Orders executed immediately.
To improve:
1. Stop charging ridiculous fees for withdrawals ($40) and exercising warrants ($50). These charges have forced me back to IB.
2. Allow debit/credit card deposits.
3. Fix your browser platform - keeps crashing.
