Fees are ridiculous for futures accounts inside an IRA. Unbelievably expensive to use them. IRA closing fee $60, Transfer fee $75, Domestic Wire Fee $25..it's endless with their fees. Trading micros was a joke. $20 to $50 in fees a day not uncommon.

This company will take your money.
So I transferred $50,050 to TT to try them out while they had a promotion for keeping 25k on their brokerage for a year and getting $500. After trying them out, I realized I didn't like their format and said forget the $500, I'm out. I moved my 50,050 back to my bank and thought that was it.
Suddenly, as soon as my money hit my bank account, I saw that there was an immediate unauthorized TT withdrawal for $50,550! $500 dollars more than I withdrew.
Well, I contacted TT about this, and they said that I had withdrawn all my money to get my $500 bonus back and they were taking it back. Apparently, someone had misread $50,050 and thought it said 50,550. I never even saw the $500. I spent 2 hours explaining this to customer service, posting screenshots with the deposit and withdrawal side by side and they just couldn't comprehend it. Trying to get them to differentiate between the 10th and 100th digit was like teaching quantum physics to a monkey. I'm not making this up, they legitimately couldn't add together 2 numbers.
Finally, I escalated to their bank, and they had the same problem. Only after writing up a literal chart for a 4-year-old, with simple arithmetic adding the 2 numbers up and posting the screenshots side by side were they able to comprehend that 50,050 wasn't the same number as 50,550. Even after the unauthorized return of my money over a non-existent bonus, they doubled down and said, while they would return all my money, it would only be AFTER locking it down for 3 weeks. I said nope, reported the crime to my bank and they snatched the money back from these room temperature IQ, slack jaw, mongaloids.
They then tried to defend themselves saying, it wasn't us that withdrew the money back to TT, it was you, here's the IP address coming from your account username! Despite initially ranting about how they took it back to get their money back, despite my clearly wanting my money out, and despite the amount being exactly $500 more, they still tried to say they didn't do it. I explained that any one of my interns worth their salt could spoof an IP from outside TT and definitely if working with them and that IP address meant nothing if you knew anything about networking.
In conclusion, they certainly seem like criminals to me and definitely cannot do simple athematic to the 10,000th digit and I would hide my money in a dirty mattress on the street before trusting them with my it. Hope this helps someone!
Edit to reply: Nope. I still have the receipts of TT helpdesk ranting about how they pulled the funds to "get their bonus money back" and they know that, as they've already seen them. That's why my bank pulled the money back from these amateurs against their will when I showed the bank the receipts. TT is just not trustworthy. Do not use this brokerage.

Thanks for the review and kind words Justin. You initiated all of the transfers yourself, as tastytrade employees have no ability to transfer funds on a client's behalf, for security purposes.

They posted an erroneous margin call to…
They posted an erroneous margin call to my account. I called them, they said they'd fix it because it was indeed incorrect, and a day later, it's still there! I'm working on moving my account to a different broker, but Tasty Trade charges a $75 dollar fee to transfer the account out! I'm asking them to waive the fee since they made the unforgivable mistake of posting an incorrect margin call...we'll see if they make good on that...

Thanks for your review and sorry to hear about your experience. I will make sure your fees to transfer your account are waived as well.

I was locked out my account because of…
I was locked out my account because of a supposed suspicious login attempt and should have gotten an email to validate the login. I received the email and said it was me on 3-1. Today they said I had not validated the login and I had to change password. To change my password it said to open my authenticator. I don't have one. So I tried to install one and it wouldn't work. My husband had one and it showed up on his phone. Why do I have to use an authenticator instead of getting a text with a code? Then I changed my password and was still locked out. So I changed my password again and got in. Sent an email to tell them I had changed my password and to let me trade. NO. Later in the day I go an email saying I had to call to get the account freed from closing only. The call took a good ten minutes. All this BS caused me to lose a day of trading and caused me to close an expiring position that I wanted to roll. Lousy customer service!

In addition to having the Hands-down worst
In addition to having the Hands-down, most obfuscating User Interface in the Industry, they Cannot do Most securities i have ever Looked at. These are not terribly obscure securities, as they are on just about any Charting service that you use. But, the Sad part is that they are known to Exercise options at Extremely, Extraordinarily unfavorable prices, Low prices, WELL-Under the Market prices. I don't even know Where they come-up with these prices. In Fact, i don't believe i *Want to know, where they come up with these prices. It's Shady, no Doubt. I didn't see Any sale, even At these Low prices!!! So, they are Selling out of their own Inventory, or else just Making it up and pulling it out of their Rear-end. They Need to change.

Thanks for the review James and sorry to hear about your experience. Please note that exercises/assignments occur at the strike price of the option, and early assignments are possible on equity options. If you have a question about an exercise or assignment in your account, please don't hesitate to reach out at [email protected] for assistance.

The most pathetic application form I’ve ever seen. It is amateur and total American centric. Almost impossible to open an account if you live in the U.K.

The have a joke of a risk department
The have a joke of a risk department. If you’re an active trader, stay away. Have multiple experiences with them closing both spreads and long options when far out of the money and they would either expire worthless or were being managed by me. Better to use interactive brokers or even E*trade as their risk departments don’t close your orders out and stick you with unnecessary losses!

Thanks for your review and sorry to hear about your experience. Please note that forced liquidations generally occur in the last hour of trading on the day of expiration if the account doesn't have enough buying power to withstand a potential exercise/assignment.
