Checked the hours of the location. Drove across town (30 minutes in traffic and weather) bc this location had a larger selection. Have ordered from Target many times before…this time looking for sunglasses due to a prescription change. HORRIBLE SERVICE as location was CLOSED! Posted hours were until 7pm both online and in store…arrived at 6:11pm. NO NOTE, NO ANSWR OR EXPLANATION ON PHONE SYSTEM, JUST SIMPLY A LOCKED AREA WITH LIGHTS OUT, REALLY?!?…took a regular employee 5+ minutes to figure out they WERE NOT THERE AND SEEMED LIKE THEY left EARLY?! Target Optical asks for constructive feedback - ok - please explain how a for profit business is allowed to shut down without explanation or consideration of their clientele?! I could not do that at my job and guessing most of those reading this cannot either. THIS TARGET OPTICAL location is AWFUL…so wish I could name the location so others could avoid it. I have not ever ordered glasses online but if the people at Target Optical cannot show up for their work hours I suppose shopping online with no personal interaction will not be that much different.

I ordered a pair of glasses from the Target Optical (McKinney, TX) yesterday and it was an amazing experience with Val helping me (she was organized and efficient). I came back today to get the info on my pupillary distance and it was chaos personified. I sat in front of Becca at the center station while she was helping another customer, thinking that she would be able to tend to my simple request after she was done. She was with this customer for 20 mins (on what I assume was a checking out and payment process), while the store manager was in a "heated" discussion with another customer about some misplaced order. In the meantime, another store employee (glasses and long black hair) decided to help another customer behind me -- this store employee must assume I enjoy loitering around a Target Optical for the fun of it. Becca got done with her customer and instead of checking in on me, decided to leave the station and work on some other customer. It's amazing how utterly disorganized these people are -- transforming an excellent experience to 1-star experience and yes -- they earned this review.

My contact Glasses are wrong, where did you get my prescription? I do not have contact glasses for Christmas.

One of the worst experience with purchasing glasses on Target. Customer care doesn't provide any proper updates or you will never receive any notifications if the order is delayed. I will never order glasses or encourage anyone to purchase glasses on Target.

Eye exam here is very good. But Don't choose in store pick up, you are in the same queue as people pair for glasses. Which is ridiculous.

Dr. Richardson at the N Cattleman Store in Sarasota 34243 might be the worst eye doctor I’ve ever visited in 40 years of needing corrective lenses. The guy seems to want to be different and outside of the box. Buddy, you’re not curing cancer. You’re giving people contact lenses prescriptions and you don’t even do that well! I have been using contacts for over 30 years. I have been working with Target Optical for several years. My prescription hasn’t changed and I have used Bausch & Lomb for at least 5 years without a problem. This Dr. Richardson decided that I all of the sudden have an astigmatism and need special lenses. He even charged me more for the appointment and lenses! Shocker right! He even guaranteed that I would see better than I have ever seen before! Then, I get the lenses and have nothing but problems! Uncomfortable, dry out quickly, can’t read up close, and I get headaches! What an incompetent eye doctor! Then, I try to call back to get my prescription updated to what is in Targets system for years and guess what? They want me to waste my time coming back in there to meet with their incompetent eye doctors again! Yep, they can’t go back to my previous prescription sitting in their system for years. What a rip off! This office is absolutely awful!

My contacts were marked as delivered, but the tracking link shows they were never shipped. The website is slow and glitchy, and it's very difficult to reach customer service. I won’t order from here again. I wanted to give it a chance, but I’m going back to ordering from Walmart, which is always fast and offers cheaper contacts.

optical exam was ok but the technician who measured my PD numbers didnt know what he is doing. After taking the numbers twice he proceeded to write them backwards on my RX sheet and caused me extra expense when ordering glasses that had to be redone because of his mistake at my expense. Stay away.
