If you enjoy screaming at AI Systems and getting hung up on, and then nothing updating instantly, so you never actually know where you actually stand....by all means. Run by people in Atlanta, ever been to their airport....wow. About the same experience. Try to download a cc statement...lmao. good luck. Worst bank ever. Been with USAA for 23 years, best bank ever. Why do they actually try to cause you delays, problems and frustration...oh, so they can keep earning interest on your money.

Synovus bank deserves no stars at all
Synovus bank deserves no stars at all. Unless you enjoy someone shrugging their shoulders and saying "Sometimes, that just happens" when you encounter a problem.
The phone customer service folks, if you can call them that, are ill informed concerning the bank and its business and offer no help at all. They are pretty good at, "Sometimes, that just happens".
Likewise, leadership in individual banks are not helpful either, and when they cannot answer a question, they deflect and attempt to squirm their way out of the situation...all the while defending the bank.
Frankly these folks are not good stewards of my money or your cash either...that is, unless you accept, "Sometimes that just happens" as an excuse for the bank and its many issues...
Close you account now...I know that as soon as this latest issue is cleared, I will never ever enter synovus pinnacle whatever again...
I guess having poor customer service and disrespectful, unhelpful employees costs the bank customers..."Sometimes, that just happens."

Took my wife and mother in law
Took my wife and mother in law, so my wife could get her name, on her mother's account. No customers upon arrival. As soon as one of the bankers hears our request, he immediately shuts his office door. Then they tell us we need an appointment. I've been banking with Regions for decades. There, you just take a seat, and they take who's next. Probably just going to withdraw and close account, switch banks.

I have been a customer of this bank for…
I have been a customer of this bank for well over 20 years. I have stayed with the bank through every name change—from Immokalee Bank, to Tri-County Bank, to Florida Community Bank, to Synovus, and now the transition to Pinnacle Financial Partners. Years ago, this bank even provided the construction loan that allowed me to build my home. I have remained a loyal customer because I believed this bank valued long-term relationships with local businesses.
I own a local business, and dependable banking is essential to keeping my company operating. Before depositing a recent check, I spoke directly with the branch manager because I wanted to avoid an unnecessary hold. The check was from a long-time customer, drawn on a local Bank of America account. I have previously deposited approximately ten checks from this same customer and the same bank, and every one of those checks cleared without any problems.
The manager told me that if I called the next morning, she could contact Bank of America, verify the check had cleared, and release the funds.
I did exactly what she asked. When I called the following morning, she was in a conference call. I waited approximately an hour and a half without hearing anything back before calling the branch one more time and asking another employee to leave her a message.
When she finally returned my call, instead of discussing the status of the check, she immediately spoke to me in what I felt was a rude and unprofessional manner, telling me that I didn’t need to call her “every 10 minutes.” That statement was simply untrue. I called once as we had agreed, waited a considerable amount of time, and then made one follow-up call after receiving no response.
The conversation became heated, and I regret that it reached that point. However, several people who were with me overheard the conversation because my phone was on speaker. Their immediate reaction was, “Who is talking to you like that?” They were surprised by the tone of the conversation.
More importantly, the hold on the check created real financial consequences for my business. The funds were held for more than a week, causing a payment to one of my material suppliers to bounce and delaying my ability to complete my customer’s project—even though the customer had already paid me and was expecting the work to continue.
What makes this even more frustrating is the inconsistency. At the Lehigh Acres branch, the staff has always treated me like a valued customer. They know me by name, greet me when I walk in, and provide excellent customer service. There is also a teller at the Bonita branch who has always been courteous, professional, and helpful. My complaint is not with the bank as a whole or with the employees who genuinely care about their customers. It is with the way this situation was handled by the branch manager.
I understand that banks have fraud prevention
policies, and I support those policies. However, I also believe experienced bankers should use reasonable judgment when dealing with long-time customers who have an established history of successful deposits from the same customer and the same bank.
After more than two decades of loyalty, I expected better communication, better judgment, and far more professional customer service. I hope senior management reviews this situation because no long-time customer or local business owner should have to go through an experience like this.

Criminal Syndicate Synovus "Bank" Cartel
Synovus is a complete joke and they will steal your money outright and tell you it's your fault they had to do it. I opened a business banking account and it's impossible to run a small business with them as your bank. Every time I deposited checks, they tried to hold them for 10 days then when they released the holds, after much hell raising and immense frustration that never should've happened, they would make it out like I was asking them to do something outside of their policies. They they would gaslight and make me feel like I was in the wrong for expecting them to process business transactions that were absolutely necessary for my business to survive. Nobody can sit around and wait 2 weeks on checks to clear, especially off of the same accounts they had previously verified without issue. Then, in January, I wrote the branch manager an email explicitly telling them to take overdraft protection off the account and they didn't do it, furthermore, told me that you could not remove it from any business account at any financial institution. From January to June when I realized they were still processing transactions when there was no money they accrued over $1200 in NSF fees for paying subscription fees for me when I had a major customer that refused to pay his bill. So, I was in financial strait and they didn't care at all about anything besides their money and closed my account with it overdrawn $666 and that's prevented me from being able to open accounts elsewhere. If you give these folks any of your money after reading this review, you deserve what they're about to do to you because they were extremely nice and caring until they became my "relationship bank" and that's an experience I never care to have again. They big boy your money then tell you it's mandatory and it's your fault it happened. Even though you told us not to cover anything coming through your account that wasn't available. It's crazy they can get away with this honestly.

I had the worse experience with the…
I had the worse experience with the commercial loan process. It was very unorganized, they lost documents, asked me to lie on an official document and almost had me lose my building for an environmental study that didn't need to be done. The woman I dealt with was very condescending and not helpful at all. She was combative and tried to make everything my fault. They were even late getting everything to title. Now to top it off, I can 't even pay the loan payment online unless I set up banking accounts with them. I can not refinance this loan fast enough. Even with the prepayment penalty, it's worth it.

Bad experience
I possess a First Progress secured credit card issued by Synovus Bank, which is a secure credit card that I have maintained for over five years. Throughout this period, I have consistently made timely payments, and up to December 2025, I had no returned payments in seven years. However, my account was suspended, and I was informed that it would remain in this status for 30 business days. Consequently, on February 24, 2026, I requested that my account be closed and my deposit refunded.

SYNOVUS DECEPTIVE BUSINESS BANKING PRACTICES!!!
i have worked for Synovus as and IT PCCE Engineer and the company itself is total GARBAGE.... now let fast forward to using Synovus products... i have a credit card that i got while as an employee... im trying to make a payment on my credit card and when i logged on i no longer have the ability to do so. Payment due 22nd. its normally paid on 14th. I called asked why am i not able to make a payment and the response i got was this... we blocked your account because we got some returned mail. I asked so you prevented me from paying my bill because mail was returned? Ok so say i would have not been able to make my payment and didnt call in... then synovus would have presented me as delinquent payment and account... when in actuality it was them that prevented me from paying my bill. I asked them if they had my number on file? Yes we have your number on file.... i asked why wasn't a call placed to me regarding the issue with the returned mail instead of just blocking my account? That is not in our policy to call the customer... but it is in your policy to block the account and if the customer do not call in then they will just be delinquent because of Synovus.
PEOPLE PLEASE BEWARE OF THESE DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES THESE BANKS BE INVOLVED IN!
