These people will say anything to get you off the phone. They shipped me a way older motor than what I was told on the website, no paperwork on how to activate the warranty, They lied about doing quality control on the engine as it was never in their possession. Having all sorts of problems with this motor. Terrible customer service, Terrible quality.

I ordered a motor and everything seemed…
I ordered a motor and everything seemed good until about week 3 and there was no communication. I called in several times and got its being shipped today from California. Didn’t ship called back again it’s being shipped this time telling me it’s coming from North Carolina. A month and half after ordering it arrives. Needless to say it was a today POS the motor had JB weld all over it and was unusable. Called warranty department where they had the motor picked up no problem. Now two weeks later there now saying the never got notification the engine was picked up and they would check on it and send me an email by the end of the day. Needless to say I’ve been on hold for over 45 mins this morning to see what’s going on and to find out where my refund is. BUYER BEWARE !!!!! They are helpful until there is an issue!

BUYER BEWARE!!!The buying process was easy and amazing. Shout out to Lisa. It goes to pieces after that. I got a drop-in motor with 54,000 miles that had no valve cover gasket and had to pay extra to have that fixed. THANK GOD for a great mechanic! WARRANTY DEPARTMENT has ignored all emails and has dodged my calls for 2 months! This motor uses more oil than the one I replaced. I didn't want to speak ill. i just wanted my money back!!

Do not order from this rip-off place
Do not order from this rip-off place. This company has failed to meet a promised deadline. Appears to be quite unorganized and they need to take accountability. No one , nor their third party engine supplier or SWEngines knows much about their orders. There is no way to get in touch with management, and just get the same loop around. The third party, Premium Used Part Solutions owned by Stephen Young, with a a contact number of (503) 877-0566 promised it would be shipped Monday, July 10th. After several excuses, it was July 13th, 2023. Keep in mind, I ordered my engine June 20th. SWEngines promises shipping 7-14 business days, and it finally got shipped several days after the 14th day. Why is that? Lack of process control? Lack of communication? Lack of standard operating procedures? Either way, if you commit to your customers happiness then you need to commit. I finally received the engine, installed it, to find out it knocks and sounds horrible at accelerating RPMs. The third party gave me SWEngines management emails, but have yet to hear back from them. All I want is to be refunded what I paid for the rip-off. Extremely dissatisfied. By the way, all the reviews on their website, and myreputation.com are fake. None are from real people. Do tons of research on the company you order from, because of companies like this that make you lose faith in places nowadays. I question how they are still open. Are they money-laundering? Scamming everyone? Yes. Unfortunately so. Do not order or even think about calling this company.
I hope they fix my issue but I doubt that they will.

Don't make the same mistake I did
A friend recommended SWEngines and I took his word for it -- I rank this among the top three worst decisions I have ever made, and I don't remember the other two.
One disaster after another.
I completed my order 13 May, 2023. “Thank you for your recent order (Invoice # 417917) from SWEngines.com: 300-77240 2016 Nissan Frontier Engine 4.0L (VIN A, 4th digit, VQ40DE)
We truly value your business”
16 May I received a notification from them the order was being processed and will ship in 7-14 business days.
On 31 May, I received an apology for a “slight delay”.
Finally shipping confirmation on 5 June.
Then I get this on 7 June, “Sent paperwork to the warehouse to get this picked up and they loaded it onto the incorrect truck. Should have it back here in the next few days and then reship out to you, that transit time is 3-4 business days. You should receive this by next week.”
Followed by more reassurances on 12 June, “First and foremost, we want to apologize for having to send another email about a delay with your order. Rest assured, YOUR order is our top priority.”
Then on 19 June “I see this was returned to the warehouse but not sure why they havent given me the ok to reship yet. Ill reach out to my contact in the morning and get this resolved.”
20 June “I got it figured out, pushing this onto the truck today to head your way. Transit times are between 3-5 business days from my estimation.”
FINALLY the engine shows up 9 July.
But guess what – the engine oil cooler is busted as it sits on the shipping container. It is a +$400 OEM part that I find for just over $300 including tax and shipping. I figure no problem SWEngines has a warrantee program. Right? –
On 11 July, I requested that SWEngines simply pay for the replacement oil cooler part. I sent pictures and the invoice for the part from eBay.
Their response on 13 July was, “Please be informed that we will get the engine return. Please get the engine ready for pick up so that return label will be sent to you.” I have to prepare the engine and pay to have it sent back to SWEngines and either request a refund – assuming they acknowledge responsibility – or pay to have a replacement shipped to me. What kind of a warrantee is that??
I cannot count the number of times I called SWEngines trying to get help. I cannot count the number of times I was told the someone would get back to me and never once did.
