I got a motor for my dodge ram 1500 it was a 5.7 hemi I was told the motor only had 64000 on it but it looked very old once I received it and sure enough 7 months later motor lost comprehension never over heated or ran hot just got sold a bad motor then came the The warranty jokes 3 years as long as a motor was installed within 7 days which i wasnt told do To hydro lock motors in this state fl. My motor wasnt installed for 10 days and I lost my 3 year warranty and only had 6 month and the motor went out 7 months after installing I only put about 20 miles a day on my truck I wouldn't buy any motor from them again would tell anyone out there that you will get burned stay away from this company I run my owen business and take pride in my work im rated 4 star on Angie's list but these people have no pride in what they do or how they treat there customers Channel one.

No communication, staff whom answers the phone reads form a script and tells you the smae lies aboiut your motor. I ordered and paid for the motor 19 days ago and no response to my inquiries. I have left multiple messages for Manager Dale Jones - no repsonse, no motor, no communication. 90% of the time you are on hold and get cut off. Call LKQ - anyone but these people!!!

Sales person for SW Engines quoted "A long block engine ready to drop in. Only thing you need to change is the thermostat." Shipping took a little long. Once engine arrived, realized it will need more than "...just a thermostat." Had to clean out water, replaced almost every item but the heads. Filed a warranty submission on their website. Should have been my red flag right there. Check it out, maybe one of the best warranty submission pages on a website I've seen! They are set up to handle all the problems they sell (and void warranty submissions). Cannot talk to a person during the process. And don't expect to have anything covered as SW Engines appears to have a catch all clause to prevent them from refunds. I have already submitted my notes and talked with warranty reps / managers. They choose not to recognize their sales rep lied. So I will help to warn customers not to use them. Note: for any employee at SW Engines that would like to address this, my invoice number is 438083.

The customer service people hang up when they can't answer a question. It happened 5 times in a row. At first I thought it was phone trouble. I asked repeatedly to speak with a supervisor. No one had any problems with hanging up because there is no recourse or penalty. Who can I complain to... NO ONE. It's been months since starting this process. They sent an engine that was not worth it. My certified BMW mechanics refused to put it in my car. Their words were this engine is really bad. Some one came to pick up the faulty engine. SWengine never emailed me the "Bill of Lading" so they could not take it. My mechanic shop is charging me for storage space now. My car (BMW X5) and that really bad engine has been in there there location since FEB. No help or response from SWengine. I wonder how they're in business. It's mind blowing

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!! Do not ever recommend!! This is the shadiest “company” I have ever dealt with! Don’t waste your precious time or hard earned money with this scam of a company! Customer service is a complete joke… they are either the most incompetent people or just the shadiest!! They owe me $1200 for a labor warranty claim. I may have to file a lawsuit since this shady company refuses to send my money, refuses to give any information about the owner, president, management or any contact information. If there was a way to give them a zero star review, I would. They sent me a motor that looked like it had been sitting outside for 10 years. Replaced the plugs, coil packs and exhaust manifold studs on the engine already. Truck idles rough so I took it to a shop. They’re saying it’s most likely a bent valve in cylinder 4 and when I called about warranty they said it’s not a major component on the motor and would not be covered. This is after they hosed me on the core charge because it would, “cost too much to ship it back” so they let me keep the core without refunding me the core charge like they were doing me a favor. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS. I had asked to speak to a manager and was disconnected immediately when they transferred the call.

This place is a scam. Sold me a used engine with 60k. The engine was totaled and had 185k on it. Told me the only way to get reimbursements for the labor was to order a replacement instead of a refund. New engine came with no information. When I called for the reimbursement, they said they can’t be cause I didn’t send in the warranty. Checked me email and they never sent one for the replacement engine. After numerous attempts at speak with a manger, I’ve come to the conclusion there isn’t one. Apparently managers are in a separate building from the people that answer the phones. When they transfer it automatically disconnects the call. Numerous requests for a manager callback. Months later I’ve never gotten a call nor an email from any manager. I’m now I. The hole $7000 because of this scam.

I read the negative reviews after purchasing the engine. I ordered a CX9 Mazda 2012 engine on Oct 5 2023, Oct 11 I was informed it had shipped, arrived at my mechanic’s shop Oct 24. It was suppose to have 63000 miles, according to my mechanic it was in good shape and he installed it. At this writing I have had no issues with the engine. For me, THEY DID IT RIGHT.
