Stay away from this company
Stay away from this company at all costs. I made an order (the 2nd largest bucket, forget how large. 2.5kg I think?) back in early October more than half a year ago hoping it would arrive by Halloween but since it was based in Britain I understood if they couldn’t get it to me that fast as I live in Canada. What happened next I’m recounting the days off the top of my head but sometime after in mid October I got an email saying some of the sweets I asked for weren’t there. We did some more exchanges until we landed on some they did have in stock and I came away with it appreciating them reaching out as well as the timely replies and was satisfied with the above and beyond customer service especially given the time difference. I then get an automated email from them with my order number in the subject line advertising to me some of their products and deals and how I’m enjoying my order and I responded to it saying that it had not arrived yet, acknowledging that it’s possible that the Canada Post strikes could be adding the time. They responded showing their concern and that they would email me when they have an update. An update never came. Fast forward to the beginning of January and I email them notifying that I had not received my order and it had been 3 months since I made the order and when it can be considered lost in the mail. They got back to me and said they will contact the team and arrange another order or a refund. They didn’t ask for my order number or my mailing address so they could execute any of these things so I just assumed they traced my email address to my October order and intended to add it to the order queue. Because they go out of their way to market themselves on social media I just assume they are swamped with orders and just set it and forget it as time will pass by quicker if I don’t think about it and a resolution to this issue will come before I know it. I then did totally forget about it for a little while until their social media posts made their way back onto my feed 2 months later in March and yet again no update came and enough time had passed for Canada Post to catch up as I had been receiving other packages from them since this order. At this point I’m a little fed up and my friendly tone disappears for a more blunt one and I contact them again asking for an update on whether or not I will get a new order or my money back. They responded the following Monday apologizing and that they were going to send me a new bucket of candy. I was partially thrilled that some decision was made and thanked them and looked forward to my order but intending on blocking their email from advertising to me as this process has been very frustrating. Again they didn’t ask for my order number or my mailing address so I just assumed they traced my email to the order again. It is now almost June. It has not arrived. I’m done trying and they have essentially stolen roughly 100 bucks Canadian from me. If you want a bucket of candy, stay away from these thieves. Spend the extra money on a big bag or bucket of candy at your local bulk store. It’s more worth it to pay the extra money knowing you will never have to experience this incompetent level of service as well as getting to have it right away rather than waiting for it to cross and ocean or continent. To Sweet Mouthful Mixes, shutdown your company. Or atleast don’t offer it to people overseas as you clearly are unable to competently run a business with international shipping.
