My invertor has not been working since Novemeber 2020, tons of calls, no show service calls, a supervisor or anyone above him apparently are not available. EVER. Never a call back from one although I have left 8 messages as of date. and called customer service numerous times which is not in the US. I am stopping my automatic withdraw of payment, to me this is breach of contract! 6 months and still can't talk to anyone who can give me answers! I have had to true-up with electric company already. I want this Solar off my roof and I want to be done with this company!

In August 2020 I contracted with Sunpower for installation of 12 solar panels and a battery back-up system on the part-flat, part-pitched roof of my home in Mill Valley CA. They quoted me $30,000 and said the work would be done by 1 November. "Battery delays" meant that the hardware of the system wasn't installed until just before Thanksgiving. There followed almost FIVE MONTHS of nightmare. Nothing worked. The system wouldn't talk to the internet, the battery wouldn't talk to the central computer system/hub, and so on. They had to make half a dozen separate visits, often with huge vans and a team of up to five people, with endless exhausting arguments, phone calls and emails in between. The installers (ESA-Solar) blamed Sunpower for defective parts, Sunpower blamed the installers for incompetence, and so on all the way through the winter and early Spring. Finally, Sunpower have offered me a 5% discount on the price they're charging, in an attempt to make up for the dismal mess their incompetence created. If you want to keep hold of your sanity, avoid these people. They look very glossy and professional, but in fact their systems are unreliable and they will go to great lengths to string you along.

The Worst Solar Company On the Planet 4 years of a dead system. Damage to my roof and home. Out thousands of dollars on a lease. Beware they will screw you over. I’m tired of the fraud, it’s time for action.

’ve had Sunpower for about 3 years and now I am in the process of selling my home and the new buyer agreed to take over the lease. However, Sunpower is forcing me to pay a $300 filling fee in order for them to provide UCC filling documents to the mortgage company of the new buyer. This is during a pandemic where I am barely surviving and able to provide for my family which I’ve mentioned to the representative that I was speaking to but none of that mattered to them. This is a lesson learned, I will definitely look into other companies in the future because of this experience and also, my monthly solar panel bill was $81 which is more than any other solar panel company out there. Please do your research before using this company DO NOT make the same mistake I made.

Sun power product is of very low quality. Have it on the roof for last 2 years. Have problems like 2 -3 months a year. And the customer service is pathetic. Maintenance will be rescheduled again and again. Don't waste your time, find someone better.
