Keinen Cent!

Suno used to be one of the best AI music platforms, but the new policy has made the service extremely frustrating and, in my opinion, very poor value for subscribers. The biggest issue is the new download limitation. If the plan allows only 20 song downloads per month, while 20 downloads require only 200 credits, then what is the point of selling a plan with 2,500 credits? I paid for 2,500 credits, but I cannot actually use those credits freely because of the download restriction. If Suno wants to limit customers to 20 downloads per month, then sell a plan that provides 200 credits for those 20 songs. Charging customers for 2,500 credits and then restricting how they can use them makes the whole system feel misleading and unfair. Suno was heading in a great direction, but this policy is a major step backward. I have personally spoken with more than 20 people who have cancelled their subscriptions, and I have cancelled mine as well because of this change. Suno should seriously reconsider this policy and either remove the download limit or make the number of credits and the actual usage limits consistent. Very disappointing. I hope the company listens to its paying customers before this decision causes even more subscribers to leave.

I was subscribed to Suno even before they got big on socials. The new update and rules however, suck a$$, £8 for 20 downloads a month…only 20. REALLY? The new version 6 sounds like cr@p and every track you generate sounds exactly the same. How many subscribers are they going to lose. I’d place my bets on loads.

I subscribed to the Pro plan to create game audio, background loops, and sound effects for indie game development. I am not running bots, and I have zero interest in farming royalties on Spotify. Two major issues make this new policy completely unreasonable for paying creators: Zero Grace Period / Buffer: Changing the terms overnight and retroactively capping downloads on users who already paid for an active subscription is unacceptable. We planned our development schedules and project budgets around the service we paid for, not an arbitrary 20-download hard cap imposed without warning. Treating a 3-second SFX the Same as a Full Song: Counting a short button click, UI sound, or a few seconds of ambient noise as 1 full download is absurd. The major record label lawsuits (Sony, Warner, etc.) are about stopping full-length music from flooding streaming services. Short sound effects and micro-loops have nothing to do with streaming fraud or pop chart manipulation. Why should indie game creators take the collateral damage for music industry disputes? If you want to prevent streaming abuse, set the cap by song duration, audio type, or let us spend our existing credits to export. Burning an entire monthly download quota on a handful of game sound bites completely breaks our workflow.

I subscribed and paid for a full year under one set of terms. Then Suno changed those terms and introduced additional credit costs for downloads. I did not agree with this change, so I contacted support and asked to cancel my subscription and receive a refund for the remaining period. Their answer, after waiting about ONE MONTH for support, was essentially: no. Because I originally subscribed through the mobile app, they say they cannot cancel the annual subscription or refund the unused period. So let me get this straight: Suno can change the terms of a prepaid annual subscription and introduce additional costs, but when the customer doesn’t accept those new terms, the customer isn’t allowed to exit the subscription? Instead, I’m expected to keep the subscription I already paid for AND buy additional credits to download content. I find this approach completely unfair and extremely customer-unfriendly. Changing the deal after taking a customer’s money and then refusing to let them leave is not how I expect a serious subscription business to operate. And taking a month to provide that answer makes the support experience almost laughable. No refund. No cancellation. Pay more if you want to download. That’s enough for me. Bye bye, Suno.
