Terrible experience with Michael P., Wealth Specialist at LPL Financial (a third party to Suncoast Credit Union).I am extremely disappointed with the lack of financial knowledge and capability demonstrated here. I approached Michael for assistance with obtaining a Medallion Signature Guarantee, something Suncoast explicitly stated he would handle.Instead, he refused to provide the medallion stamp, claiming he would not do it because of a financial relationship—directly contradicting what Suncoast promised. For a designated "Wealth Specialist," this level of unhelpfulness and conflicting information is completely unacceptable. If you need reliable investment services or standard financial procedures handled correctly, look elsewhere. All I can say is this bank needs todo better!

Ordered a cashier’s check. They took the money out of my account and it never arrived. They required me to wait 90 days with all that money missing before they were willing to open up an investigation. Then got a new credit card because they locked my old one for fraud - paid a 25 dollar rush fee to get it within three days. A week later I call to inquire, and though they charged me the rush fee, the order was never put in. I asked to have the 25 dollar rush fee refunded since obviously I did not receive anything and the customer service representative was surprised I asked and seemed hesitant to give it to me. I have mostly just been avoiding moving to a new bank for laziness but I am at my limit with this place. I would not suggest this business to anyone unless I hated them.

Rebekah at the New Port Richey branch went above and beyond all my expectations of a member advocate. She spent a couple of hours on the phone and computer trying to help me with my problem and called me the next day and had my problem resolved. She was patient, understanding, and never stopped trying to get things straightened out... which she did! Can not thank her enough for all she did. A Fantastic representative of Suncoast Credit Union!!!!!!!

The company has been 5 stars until they started making business accounts use the STSpend Track for business credit cards. It has been a mess from the start. I could not use my account or access the money for weeks with no notification. Now that I have crossed that bridge it is no better. Frustrating and full of glitches to use. I quit! However, I do like Suncoast for my personal banking and I appreciate the lower interest rates on my personal accounts. I would give them 5 stars if not for the terrible decision to us ST and split my business debit from my business credit card.

Fraud /accusations

Suncoast Credit Union is a security nightmare. They lost my identity last year. This includes Social Security numbers and other Personal Identifiable Information. Then, I get fraudulent charges on my debit card and flag them as fraudulent with them. It has been almost a month, and I still haven't received my money back as the investigation continues. I ask when will the investigation be completed and they say, we don't know, there is no time limit. DONT USE THIS BANK, ITS AMATEUR HOUR

Maggie Letchworth is my #1 source for information on my investment accounts with Suncoast. I am NEVER disappointed when I call for information, when I get Maggie. I have been a Suncoast member for over 20 years. Maggie has been my go-to-person, on any and all questions. She's straight forward, organized, honest, and gives you the best advice. I once had another insurance company pressuring me to change accounts and lose money in the process. I had them call Maggie before I signed. She set them straight and advocated for me in the process. She's an amazing employee who ALWAYS has her customer's best interests at heart!

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS MISSING! Went to the Estero branch June 26, met with Alex, showed him the missing and reversed CC payments. He sent a message to the "back office" and scheduled an appointment to meet today June, 30. He wasn't there. I met with Amy, who said he made NO notes in the computer. I explained my dilemma all over again to her. She did not even attempt to look at my account. Just turned her monitor around and said "here's your balance!" RUN FROM THIS CU!
