This Credit union has good intentions and the people are nice. But it isn’t worth a shit. The ATM and my card. never work and they limit you. They block your transactions. You can’t get cash out of the machine. It’s always broken down. Do not bank here go somewhere else.

68 DAYS to send my requested ATM card!
Opened a money market account 7 months ago and 3 months later realized that they never sent me an ATM card. So, when I applied for one online it took them 68 DAYS to send the card. They claimed they sent it twice but that wasn't true and when they finally sent me the card they sent me two others over the next week. Their customer service mantra seems to bring 'blame the customer'.

Negative star
Negative star rating with this incompetent organization. This has been the worst experience I ever had. Started when I first purchased my vehicle and added my insurance provider. I began receiving emails stating I did not have insurance and was being charged an extra fee. I informed the imbecile that I had sent the insurance months ago and had proof of that. They eventual corrected their mistake. Then I had to cancel the extended warranty that the dealership attempted to hide in my payment even after I told them that I was going through Suncoast for the MRC Platinum program. My vehicle is in the shop now and the service department is being told over and over again that the policy is not in active by a low rate second party provider (Assurance). The idiots at suncoast originally gave me the the information for the extended warranty policy issued by the dealership that I cancelled. After four hours and being sent to SIX different departments and waiting on hold for almost an hour each time; I was given the supposedly CORRECT information. Now SECOND day of dealing with this. I gave the service department NEW MRC policy number. Service department once again is being told that is not in effect. Suncoast continues to state policy is in good standing. I was told yesterday I would be sent a copy of my policy, which i still have not received in my email. I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS ORGANIZATION!!! I would highly recommend using any other institution that is NOT suncoast credit union. The ineptitude, lack of concern for customer service, lack of attention to detail is truly astounding. Heed my warning, you will have the most horrible experience dealing with these morons. No work is being done on my vehicle and it has been there since 09/25/2026. DO NOT USE THIS ORGANIZATION FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was warned when I walked in to sign…
I was warned when I walked in to sign in and join. I assumed just a minority customer's general opinion. I joined for checking/ savings & deposited 80.00 cash & left okay. Three weeks later I deposit a small check I received from my attorney & I expected a hold but not the nasty treatment from customer cc service NOR restricting access via phone & online to my account! Then trying to say the check is going to be returned & asking me accusation questions as well as accusing me of taking 20.00 from the check when it hadn't even cleared yet! Stupid incompetent & POOR customer relations. Once tge check clears i hope to close the acct & go somewhere im welcomed & staff acts like professional adults. It's your money until you deposit it.

Suncoast Credit Union
Suncoast Credit Union — Extremely Frustrating Lending Experience
My experience with Suncoast Credit Union as an auto lender has been extremely frustrating and, frankly, has left me questioning how they handle customers' loans and whether their practices are designed to be transparent.
I took out a car loan with Suncoast after they advertised an EV credit. The credit was not initially applied to my loan, and I didn't discover the issue until months later.
Assuming all good I simply planned for my direct ACH withdrawals. the point of placing such payments automatic is for convenience and not to worry you are late with a payment. Problem is they then sneak in a higher monthly payment than you contracted for. I only realized this after making 3 years of onetime monthly payments. looked at my loan to see how much I owed on my vechle. only to discover the moth was not adding up. taking a closer look I noted the over payments. $1400 in over payments. That's when I discovered that Suncoast had added an insurance product to my loan that I never requested or needed. It was buried among the many documents you are asked to digitally sign when closing a loan, and, in my experience, it was not made clear enough that this would add approximately $33 per month to my payment.
When I called to have it removed, I was told it would be taken care of. Two months later, it was still on my loan.
I called again and spent an enormous amount of time being transferred from one department to another, with employees repeatedly telling me that the issue belonged to another department. Half the people sound helpful and like they are on your side but in the en d do absolutely nothing tp resolve the issue but worse lie about it.. Eventually, I was told they would review and have the insurance cancellation removed but that they could not reimburse me for past months paid. FINE! Except A month later, it was still there.
I then spent another hour on the phone only to be told that I needed to sign a form. That was the first I had heard of this requirement. OK— send me the form and I'll sign it. I was told it would be emailed to me. It never was.
At this point, I've spent hours trying to correct something I never asked for in the first place.
And if you have a normal 9-to-5 job, be prepared to take time off if you need help, because their customer-service availability is extremely inconvenient for working people.
The most infuriating part came during my latest call, which lasted roughly two hours. I was told I would receive no credit for the months of additional charges resulting from their failure to resolve the issue, despite the fact that I had already contacted them and been told it would be removed. Then I was told that if I signed the required form that day, my payment could actually be higher because it was the middle of the month. HUH??
How does that make sense?
From a customer's perspective, this has felt like a never-ending maze of departments, paperwork, transfers, missed follow-ups and charges that I never knowingly agreed to. Whether these problems are the result of incompetence, poor internal communication, or something more concerning, the end result is the same: the customer pays for Suncoast's mistakes while being forced to spend hours trying to get them corrected.
I strongly recommend that anyone considering a Suncoast auto loan read every single document extremely carefully, question every charge, and independently verify that every credit and cancellation has actually been applied. OR BETTER YET LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A LOAN.
After this experience, I have very little confidence in Suncoast as a lender and would think twice before ever doing business with them again.

Terrible experience with Michael P.
Terrible experience with Michael P., Wealth Specialist at LPL Financial (a third party to Suncoast Credit Union).I am extremely disappointed with the lack of financial knowledge and capability demonstrated here. I approached Michael for assistance with obtaining a Medallion Signature Guarantee, something Suncoast explicitly stated he would handle.Instead, he refused to provide the medallion stamp, claiming he would not do it because of a financial relationship—directly contradicting what Suncoast promised. For a designated "Wealth Specialist," this level of unhelpfulness and conflicting information is completely unacceptable. If you need reliable investment services or standard financial procedures handled correctly, look elsewhere.
All I can say is this bank needs todo better!

Charges money but doesn’t deliver
Ordered a cashier’s check. They took the money out of my account and it never arrived. They required me to wait 90 days with all that money missing before they were willing to open up an investigation. Then got a new credit card because they locked my old one for fraud - paid a 25 dollar rush fee to get it within three days. A week later I call to inquire, and though they charged me the rush fee, the order was never put in. I asked to have the 25 dollar rush fee refunded since obviously I did not receive anything and the customer service representative was surprised I asked and seemed hesitant to give it to me. I have mostly just been avoiding moving to a new bank for laziness but I am at my limit with this place. I would not suggest this business to anyone unless I hated them.
