I ordered a swimsuit from Summersalt in April. When it still wasn’t there after six or seven weeks, I asked. I then got an email saying they had reorganized the warehouse, and they were so terribly sorry, but now my swimsuit was going out. Yay! Well, four weeks later, I asked again where the swimsuit was. Then they said, oh, they were so terribly sorry, but my package had been lost in transit. Okay, I said, great, send it again. Then came an email—oh, they were very sorry—by the way, only four days later—the swimsuit was now sold out. So now, end of June, I still have no swimsuit, and I would never order from Summersalt again. It’s a completely unreliable shop.

Awful! Ordered a bathing suit that was on pre-order. I was told 8 weeks. Almost 3 months later I still don’t have the suit and they are ghosting me and refusing to refund my money.

I wish I read the reviews before purchasing anything. I purchased a swimsuit and it was small. I decided to exchange it and now they sent me something that is still a little snug which is not so bad I was hesitating to keep it but it has some defects like stains. I had to email them multiple times and now I have to pay $8 to get my refund. Very complicated shopping experience and questionable products. Will not be ordering anything from them after this.

Summersalt forces you to read their FAQs regarding anything: returns, shipping, and your actual purchases. Make sure, as a customer, you read their FAQs section before buying, because you will get duped into gift cards versus being refunded for what you spend here. I have tried 5 swimsuits from Summersalt. None of them fit my body properly. I have a big butt, and no matter what, even if it says full coverage, my butt is basically completely out of the swimsuit. I have tried multiple sizes, I have tried the extended torso sizes, and I have tried multiple styles. None of them fit my body type right. But because I entered a code to get a $15 discount and didn't read the FAQs section, the return is only good for a gift card. What am I supposed to do with a $90 gift card to a company whose products don't fit me? Of course, I tried emailing customer service. It takes about 3 days to get a response, and they are signed by "Rachel". The mysterious Rachel, who says she isn't AI, but she sounds exactly like AI. She also never solves anything, ever, so she is basically useless. She told me her team passed my message along to her because I was having so many issues, but did she resolve anything? Nope! She told me this information is in the FAQs, so basically I should have read the FAQs before purchasing, and I am s*** out of luck! But she wants to be friends, so at least she's so nice, right? Don't waste your time or money, the reviews may be great, but god forbid you need a refund (which takes 5+ weeks to get on normal refunds too, btw). I wouldn't support a company that doesn't value customer service or satisfaction. Not worth it to me, I'm better off shopping at LANDS END, which has better swimsuits, made of better material, and better customer service.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Summersalt. I placed an order on March 27 and was charged immediately, but I did not receive the swimsuits until April 29 over a month later. To make matters worse, one of the swimsuits arrived stained and in unacceptable condition. I returned both items immediately, and according to the tracking information, they have already been received at Summersalt’s warehouse. Yet I still have not received my refund, nor any meaningful response from customer service. At this point, I am out more than $200, have no products, and no resolution. This was my first purchase from Summersalt, and unfortunately it will absolutely be my last. I expected much better quality and customer service from this brand.

Over a week since placing the order and no progress has been made on tracking, and no response to email inquiries. There is no other way to contact them, so it’s just—nothing. They were quick to take my $240 though! It never occurred to me that placing my swimsuit order nearly three weeks prior to vacation would leave me with no product but at this point, I will have to try to find something locally. And if my order never arrives, I guess I’m out the $$ and will just get as vocal as I can to never shop Summersalt!
