SubstackReviews of substack.com

UNETHICAL, IMMORAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I hesitated for a very long time to write this review because I have many subscribers and love them dearly, and they began paying me, but I never saw any of the money. I reached out for months and was always given the runaround. Now that I see the other reviews, I realize Substack scams their subscribers into thinking they are supporting their authors, but in reality, they are keeping the money!! How sad, I thought I had finally found a platform that supported authors' free expression and created community, but instead they are very corrupt!

Good luck trying to promote your writing to your own off-site link or a link that benefits you. You'll be flagged as Spam. I find it to be of little use. I left.

Substack have an age verification process designed to frustrate even the most patient person, which I am not obviously. Unfortunately there is a feed I like to watch, so it is bye bye to that luxury. There seems to be a loss of good software now that companies think AI can replace people, we are all going to hell because we worship money. How fast depends on All of us I suppose. Better enjoy what we have while it lasts.

I was really excited to join Substack as a content creator. I have done a lot of writing and was looking forward to building an audience, but there is literally ZERO human support. When I had technical problems, there is no way to submit a support ticket. The only thing that their "AI Help" does is to summarize your problem "for your records." Insane. Working on that platform was a complete waste of time.

ZERO stars. I received a very offensive, inappropriate, and discouraging "How to F- your way to wealth" and "the dumbification of girls" email from substack's so called weekly stack today. These are from "FEEDS" i'm not even subscribed to. PLEASE wipe out this company as there's review after review of complaints about this company and I would like an apology and a resolve after being sent such a negative email!

Absolutely useless app. Continually crashes on Google Pixel Phone despite numerous reinstalls, cache/storage clearing and a factory reset of the phone itself. Terrible support forum.

Authors are fine but Substack not allowing a consumer to delete a credit card (even though I'm not subscribed) leaves me open to too many privacy problems. Substack doesn't allow me to delete a credit card even if I don't have a subscription. A.I. typed to tell the author to delete it via Stripe (and gave me his substack address...) and the Nobel Laureate to whom I subscribed had no idea what to do. I was embarrassed. I went to Stripe and there's no way to have them delete it. There likely is. Why are they keeping my card in their database? I checked BBB and they have a lot of A.I. based complaints (it explained by I've had two issues lately that support never got back to me about - there is no real support). There are enough complaints (BBB, Reddit, TrustPilot) that I will change my credit card. This is really nuts.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Substack suspend your account without warning . Same as the FB police . Seems you can't post historical facts about a certain tribe. They don't like it . AVOID AVOID AVOID.
