The courses did not test for true comprehension of the text. On Blooms Taxonomy, it merely tested the bottom rung of learning. The courses in general should be utilizing higher levels of learning based on analysis, evaluation, and creation. The courses I took only covered rote memorization.

The university of Arizona doesn’t accept your credits, now I get to take the classes again.

Maybe online learning isn’t for me. I’ve taken college Algebra before and never was it this difficult. I also had difficulty getting online w a proctor maybe it was my computer. I’m glad it’s over.

I LOVED the way your entire learning experience is counted towards your grade, via points for each activity or quiz. This is SO MUCH better than courses that are virtually free and may SEEM like a great deal. The problem with other platforms is that they expect you to learn an enormous amount of material and the grade is based on one single test at the end. Not so with Straighterline. This teaching method is much more cohesive with the typical method in a physical university classroom. This way, a student can earn a high grade even in complex subjects.
