StraighterLine has one of the largest transfer networks in the alternative credit space, with hundreds of partner institutions that have agreed to accept our courses for transfer credit. Transfer acceptance ultimately depends on each receiving institution’s policies, which can change over time. We strongly encourage students to contact their school’s academic advisor or registrar’s office prior to enrolling to confirm transfer eligibility.

I would give zero stars if I could this is the worst structure in a course I’ve ever seen

We’re sorry your experience wasn’t a positive one. We know how frustrating it can be when something doesn’t work the way you expected — whether that’s related to coursework, grading, billing, or credit transfer. That’s never the experience we aim to provide. We’re always working to make our processes clearer and more consistent, and feedback like this is an important part of that. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and please reach out to our customer support directly if there's anything we can do to help.

Fast and easy
I purchased 5 courses and later found out that two of the courses transferred in from my previous studies. I contacted customer service and they switched the two courses with two other courses I could complete. Going at my own pace has allowed me to complete two courses within a month while working on my third course at the same time. It’s super fast and easy. My school has already received the transcripts and approved the courses.

There is no sense in taking an online class if there going to treat the final exam like an in class room test. I have young kids I will never be able to be a a room by myself to take an exam. This was a waste of my time and money. For the final exam they want you to scan your room to make it's only you and they monitor your company with a person on the other side treating it like an in class exam. Never again!!!

We understand that proctored exams can feel stressful — especially when technical issues are involved. Since your experience, StraighterLine has moved away from ProctorU and introduced a new proctoring solution designed to be more streamlined, reliable, and student-friendly. While prior proctoring methods have been phased out, final exams are administered in a secure environment to ensure a fair and consistent experience. Maintaining academic integrity is still important to us, but we’ve worked to improve communication around exam expectations and reduce technical friction wherever possible. If you’d like to share more about what happened, we’re happy to review your experience directly and take a closer look.

I was able to get the classes done in a short time frame that I had. I had two lab classes and they're a lot of fun.

Class was easy to do and assignments were easy to complete. It was great for me to be able to work at my own pace with no deadline.

Worst curriculum ever. No response when reported.
I took statistics. There were issues in the course curriculum right away. I addressed it with their online report and made phone calls. No one ever handled it or addressed me back. I’m not a genius in math, but my understanding is there are pretty hard and fast rules for math. You shouldn’t get three answers for one question. One from them one from their provided tutor and one from AI. The actual university that I am going to will not even accept their credits after May 2025. When I requested a credit for the fee fees, they blindly turned away again. Hands-down one of the worst online classes that I’ve ever taken. If I could give less than one star I would. Don’t waste your money or your time it’s a scam.
