It took way too long from the time the…
It took way too long from the time the order was placed to the time it was delivered and there was absolutely no communication unless you reached out and asked why there was a delay. They wanted you to proof the order right away but it took over a month to be delivered. I was about to file a case with my bank for fraud due to the delay and lack of communication. I will never order from here again.

Never recieved my order beware /update
Ordered a portrait on Aug 4th, portrait was approved on August 5th. August 25 recieved email that product was shipped. Given order # only no tracking #. When you try to follow the tracking app on the website it shows shipping label created for 30 days. Unable to track package. Multiple email attempts and all I get is a generic message. I'm thinking I got scammed. Beware UPDATE- Recieved the portrait and I must say it looks great.very happy with the end result. A representative finally reached out and apologized for the significant delay. Definitely recommended, just give yourself three times the allowance for delivery. Especially if its for a special occasion.

The sawtooth hanger fail
The sawtooth hanger pulled out of the frame within 24 hours of hanging the picture. The steel picture is too heavy for the small screws that are used along with a dab of glue. The picture frame fell, gouged the wall, and then the steel picture separated from the frame and the sharp corner gouged my new vinyl floor. Poor construction design.

Fraud
I paid for a steel picture for my son’s first wedding anniversary. I paid on August 12th and approved the design on August 14th. It hasn’t even been shipped yet and it’s September 15th. They even gave me a tracking number but it shows that the package has never been received by the shipping company so they were just trying to get me off their back. Don’t waste your money!

I ordered a piece that was "guaranteed…
I ordered a piece that was "guaranteed " by Father's Day. The only reason I paid $300 for this gift. Father's Day was yesterday and my piece still hasn't even been shipped. Poor customer service.

Save your money - not as promised
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience ordering from Story in Steel. After multiple rounds of correspondence, I carefully reviewed and approved a final proof that did not include their company logo. However, the product I received arrived with their logo added, which was not part of the approved design. In addition to the incorrect proof execution, the overall product quality was far below expectations. The craftsmanship and finish did not reflect the level of quality represented during the ordering process. I reached out several times to customer service to address both the unauthorized logo addition and the quality concerns. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response, nor was I offered a refund or replacement. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ordering from this company. I would strongly encourage others to proceed with caution and ensure all details are clearly documented before purchasing.
